Chapter 16 - Xtroda

I opened my eyes and a beach was what I saw. I sighed of relief and fell on to the sand then I realised... I was freaking alone! I tried closing my eyes and focusing on Leo's room but it was useless, I'm still at this beach. Well on the bright side, I didn't get eaten by that cheetah.

I paced back and forth, tried a few times to teleport but I kept failing. I sat down under a pine tree and hugged my knees then I stayed like that for awhile waiting for something to happened.

"What are you doing here." Someone woke me up, I looked up and a beautiful tomboy girl was in front of me. She had tied her black hair into a ponytail and she wore tight black jumpsuit like those Dauntless people wear although she had a very elegant face and she seemed the same age as me, she looked much more macho. I got up and asked "Where am I?" She replied "Xtroda", I felt my eyes were about to pop out, "Is that, like, a place in Greece or something?" I asked the girl and she just tilted her head to the side then questioned "Greece?"

Oh man, I really done it this time.

"Where did you came from?" the girl questioned, "I've come...from..." before I finished, she continued "I  take you to the Responsibles", I could only gave her a confused look and followed her. This is the most bizarre thing I have ever done. Timezones! Shit, is there a difference? I cleared my throat as I asked "Do you know the Crystal Empire?" The girl stopped and without turning at me she replied "That is a crooked place, that place is forbidden to be told in this realm" And right at that moment, shivers ran through my veins.

The girl led me through an alley and we stopped in front of a building, two guards opened the door for us by hovering their hand on the door. How dafuq did I managed to think of this place? A tall dark figure with a black robe was before us, it had a hood on its head so couldn't see his face, the girl beside me gave him got to her her one knee, I did as well even though I had no idea who it was. "Your Great Ruler, I have come to asked for assisstance" the girl announced, dang for a petite girl she got a loud voice.

"What is it you seek?" The figure replied "This person beside me is lost. She came from a world who had "Greece"" the girl stated, I couldn't understand what was happening, a figure bent down and its head was in front of my face but I still couldn't see the face, it was only pitch black "I see you came from two worlds." It implied, I only gave him a nod then he questioned "What do they call you?" And I muttered "My name... is... Erline..." I had a feeling if I told them my real name it won't end well.

"Master, she once asked of the Crystal Empire" the girl snapped, did she just snitched me?! My eyes widen "You dare say those disgusting place upon me, peasant?!" The figure shouted before us "My apologies, your royal majesty" the girl apologised, "May I ask where exactly am I?" I blurted because of curiousity and creeped out "You are in the realm of Xtroda. One of the galaxies vass dimension" the figure explained, I got up and cussed "Dimension? So, this is another dimension? Oh shit. Oh fuck. Oh man."

I tried to close my eyes and thought of The Jewel Institute but when I opened them I was still in this dim lights building. I sighed "How can I go back? What am I suppose to do?" I paced back and forth "Don't you have manners?" The girl whispered at me "I am freaking out, macho girl! I have no idea where the fuck I am!" I shouted in front of both of them. While I was panicking, the girl put a chant over me that put me to a very dizzy mode, last thing I knew I heard the door got slammed and I was being carried.

I woke up inside a locked room with one of my hand tied with an electric rope to a pole. My head hurts like hell, my energy was drained, what is this room made off? The girl I saw before appeared in front me and said "A sapphire, huh?" I feel pain inside and every inch of my body stings, I hissed "How you...know?" "Your body is releasing blue light, Eve, and this cell is meant to drain Jewels power" She informed, "What.. you...do... want?" I stuttered holding back the pain inside "It's not me. Lord Dmitri would be pleased to see you" she grinned and left me. I collapsed on the floor, I tried to teleport but it still didn't work, I tried a few chants but the cell seemed to block my powers, I couldn't think straight. I just wanna go home.

"RISE AND SHINE, SLEEPING BEAUTY!" the girl slammed the cell door and pulled me outside, I feel like a trashbag. I couldn't move, my vision were blurry, all of my body were hurting and I've been having nosebleed. The girl pulled me uo forcing me to stand up "Now that you are drained, you can never hesitate to run away." The girl teased. She was accompanied with two guards. As we were pacing, all of the lights went out, pitch black was all I see then someone put a hand on my mouth and pulled me. I tried to scream but the grip was too strong, I could hear the rucus of the guards but I was too weak to know what was going on next thing I knew I was being carried again.

I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was Leo "Thank God, Angie, you're alive!" He exclaimed hugging me tightly, I didn't have the energy to even speak and all of my body still stings. I looked around and realised I'm back to the Jewel Institute. Leo released his embrace "I should be the one who got to Xtroda, not you. My god, Angie, I don't know..." Leo sighed, I saw Velvet came to the room amd approached me "Eve, how are you feeling?" He asked then he gestured Leo to leave the room, Leo nodded his head and left.

"Where was I, Velvet?" I whispered, Velvet sat down on the bed and explained "You were in Xtroda, Eve. One of the dimensions who crave power and despise the Crystal Empire. They are Amethyst's ally. The cell you held captive in was specifically made to torture people who have jewels because Jewels energy and power are remarkable. Once they know you're a Jewel, they put you there and drain your energy until it's all gone. They are the ones who invented Glitches and Shadows." "Why didn't I teleport from there?" I asked with a soft voice, Velvet continued "Xtroda is a shield from Jewels, Eve. Therefore our powers are useless there, we had to bring a Glitch to pass the scanner" "Scanner? What Scanner?" I cut him off and he continued "A scanner to go outside from Xtroda, we can't use any of our powers inside Xtroda, Eve."

"How many dimensions are there?" I snapped and Velvet answered "Thousands, Eve, and it all belongs to Crystal Empire" I don't know whether to feel burden or accomplished. "I'll let you rest now. Get well, Eve, Leo already gave a recovery chant on you earlier" Velvet said leaving the room. I let out a heavy sigh but I could still feel the pain in my body.

I tried to let go of the pain through sleep then I had a dream. The same one like I had when a Shadow went inside my head but this time it was much more clearer. It was a tall building and I was standing on top of it, the breeze was strong and I could hear my parents calling my name, even though I head them loud amd clear for me not to jump but my feet kept on taking one step at a time to the edge of the building and with one last step. I fell.

"EVE! EVANGELINE! WAKE UP! FOR BLOODY SAKE WAKE UP" Zach shouted waking me up and pulling my wrist, I opened my eyes and I was on the balcony on top of the Jewel Institute ready to jump.

Was I sleep walking? I never sleep walked in my entire life.

My eyes widen when I saw down below and started to screamed, I immediately wrapped my arms around Zach's neck shivering and he carress my hair "Ssh... It's okay, it's okay... Everything is fine.." he soothe me down. I hate heights.

As Zach let go of his arms, pain went through inch of me. I felt like I was being beaten and shot at, I screamed each time I felt a sting, it was so painful more than the Shadow accident. Zach carried me bridal style and I kept hesitating because of the pain inside of me. I couldn't bare the pain.
