Chapter 14 - Training Begins

I dreamt about the Crystal Empire, it was just incredible I was standing on top of the castle like I did with Zach watching the jewels glow but then everything turned dark, people scurring, screaming, running for their lives and I saw glitches killed every soul they saw, everything was ruined and damaged, as I looked around I saw my mom and dad laid on the ground with blood around them.

I woke up in panicked, I sweating and panting. I got up from the bed and freshen up. While I dried my hair I thought about the damaged part of Crystal Empire, I had to see it. I wore some of Giselle's clothes and went out, I walked towards the Jewel Room to see if I could get some answers from my jewel. The jewels were same as ever, inside the glass, floating, I opened my jewel's glass and it hovered towards me, I touched and blue light came from it.

I tried to focus myself towards the Crystal Empire and motion pictures of the Empire were around but it was the beautiful part, I shook my head and tried to focus on the war even though I had no idea how it went and the images started to changed. It was worse than my dream, my eyes widen to see a beautiful place got damages horribly, corpse in a sea of blood, people got killed brutally. How could one do such of thing?

I stopped the images and I just couldn't believe what I just saw "Horrid, isn't it?" Someone snapped behind me "James." I called still in shocked, I shook my head and put back my jewel, I approached him and asked "How are you?" He gave me a smile and replied "Never been better", we had an awkward silence then I asked "How did you "balance the timezones"? And why it had to be you?" James explained "Because only Zach, Velvet, and I are the ones who can travel through different timezones and dimensions but with the condition that one of us have to stay and balance the time. When you were gone, Velvet had to deal with the damages in the Crystal Empire, that leaves me and Zach. So I told Zach to go and find you because he could feel your presence stronger than me." "I got a lot of homework, lots and lots of homework" I complained rolling my eyes, James laughed and wrapped his arm around "Let's go, I'm starving."

We walked side by side towards the dining room, I sat down between Leo and James, infront of me was Velvet and beside him was Zach. Now that I think of it, I havent eaten proper food since Zach bought me that Big Mac. We ate in silence "I wanna train." I snapped at them, all of their eyes widen towards me then Velvet sighed of relief "Finally." He rose up and gestured me to follow him. I walked behind him with Leo beside me grinning "What's with you?" I asked him "Nothing, just curious that's all" Leo replied with a grin.

We stopped in a basement, this basement was like that place in X-men future past where Prof. Xavier tried to use his telepathic powers again, yeah that but this one is much more advanced. I saw a steeled door with the Sapphire symbol on it, "One thing about these doors is that only their jewel can open it." Leo whispered to me before I could reply Velvet called "Eve." I went up to the door and tried to figure out how to open it.

"Focus, Eve" Velvet told me, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, I put my palm on the symbol of Sapphire and thought of my jewel then light came from my hand and it emerged to the door a pattern came to my mind and as I opened my eyes the door made the exact pattern with the blue light. "No one has made that kind of pattern since..." "She is his daughter." Velvet cut off James who were standing behind me, the door slowly opened up and I could only gasped on what I saw.

This room define training. It got like Hunger Games Training Simulators, all types of arrows and sword, no wonder my dad thaught me how to defend myself. I walked inside, studied every inch of the room, I took one pack of arrows and my archer bow appeared on my hand then everything around me changed. "Think of what situation you want to train in, Eve" Velvet echoed, I looked around but he was no where to be seen. I thought about the damaged Crystal Empire and right at that moment I was standing in the middle of the Empire with ruins all around me, I saw glowing eyes locked on to me "The Glitches" I thought, I aim for them and release the arrow, I missed.

They chased me, I ran as fast as I can and at the same time I kept shooting arrows at them, I was doing okay until one of them charged me and everything went like it was before "What happened?" I asked looking around "You're dead." Zach said helping me up. "The glitches caught you therefore you're dead" he repeated "Eve, you've got to control your powers physically and mentally" Velvet added, I nodded and told them "Could you guys... you know... give me some space? I'd like to train" Leo gave me a grin "Come on, Her Majesty wants some time alone, gents!" Leo announced pushing all of them out of the room, before the door closed he gave me a wink and Zach gave me a smile. I'm all alone now. I release my sword and thought of a situation, time to increase my sword skills.

After... maybe hours of me defeating glitches, I was drained. I went to the dispenser and drank a glass of cold water then something caught my eye, beside the arrows shelf there was this switch button. I push the button and all of the weaponary shelves changed. They were flipping and changed to book shelves, in the middle of the room was my jewel. I took out a book, I called it the "How to learn Jewel Powers for Dummies". It was so very complex, I tried a few of chants with my jewel and I kept failing but I kept on trying and trying then I managed to do 5 of them, progress! I went out from the training room sweating and panting, I couldn't help but sat outside the door and took a nap.

I woke up in Giselle's room with a sweater wrapped around me, mental training was more exhauting than physic training. I freshen up to the bathroom after I'm done, I went to the bed and wondered who picked me up and tucked me to bed. I shook my head and pulled up the blanket, I learnt how to take objects with my jewel, a little bit of that catching shadows power, how to make a shield but what I was curious about was this one chant called "Merge", what did it do? I got a lot of homework.

Hey guys! With every word I write, I becoming more and more in love with this story. Especially with Zach and Eve, aren't they cute? :3
I haven't got a schedule on when I should publish a chapter because I write when I got ideas and these ideas ain't coming every 24/7 lol so I keep on publishing chapter as soon as I can and maybe I'll have a day on when I should publish it to make me less messy on schedules lmao
