Shattered Jewels

Chapter 13 - Realised.

"Each jewel has their own weaponry, Evangeline. You gotta find out what yours is" Zach smirked and waited across me, I kept my focus and suddenly a blue crossbow was in my hand "Nice one" he complimented "Now, try to use it." He told me, Zach made some kind of target with the rocks nearby through his powers and I shot them perfectly.

"What if they move?" He smirked and began controling the rock puppets, I did some parkour while shooting them with my new crossbow. "Good good, now change your weapon to a sword." Zach commanded, my eyes widen "What? How..." "Stop thinking start focusing!" He told me, I closed my eyes and focus on a sword then a polished sword is what I held in my hand, I grinned towards it and glanced at Zach "Another duel, pretty boy?" I teased "As you wish, your majesty." He replied adjusting his sword.

I charged at him and he did those matrix kind of stunts therefore I missed, Zach gave me his smirk and swung his sword, I defend myself with my sword and we duel I can't help but smile through out the fight until Zach went behind me and as I turned I tripped, Zach catched me with his hand across my back. We both were catching our breath and eyes locked to each other, I got up and said "Good game" I removed my blue sword and sat down on the meadow of dandelions.

Zach joined me "I used to go to these kind of meadows with Alice." He sighed looking towards the blue sky "Do you miss her?" I asked narrowing my eyes to him "Even though she stabbed me, she's the only family I had. I'm sorry for what I said about Sapphires and about you" he apologized, I smiled and teased "Is it a million years already?" He gave me a what-are-you-talking-about-face, I laughed and sighed "I miss my parents, I wish they would've tell me more about all of this" "You'll get the hang of it" Zach nudge my arm with his then we started to point out the clouds that look like a thing or person, it was nice.

"Hey, Zach, I've been meaning to ask" I said putting my seatbelt on "Hmm?" He replied "How come you're the only one who came here?" I asked lifting my eyebrow "You'll see why when we get back" "Hold up, back? By "back" you mean my apartment right?" I assumed "Do you still think we're in London, love?" He teased glancing at me with a grin, I slammed myself on the seat with my eyes widen "Unbelievable" I said under my breath.

We went back to the Jewel Institute, Leo ran towards me and give me a with a warm hug "Angie! God, it's so good to see you" greeted in my ear "And I you, Leo" I replied wrapping my arms around him, I saw Velvet was standing behind us and he gave a nod with a smile, I smiled towards him as Leo releasing me from him embrace "Where did find her, Zach?" Velvet asked approaching us "In some wasted bastard who got his hand on her hem" Zach replied annoyed while locking his car "She hasn't been captured yet" Velvet said walking inside the building and us following him.

I got Leo's hand wrapped around my shoulder and I glance over to Zach, he looked annoyed, he wasn't like that when he's with me before. "We stopped all timezones in order to find you, Eve" Velvet inform opening the door of the Jewel Room, I saw the Sapphire Jewel glowing with bright blue light, it was so beautiful. I walked towards it and slowly opened the glass, it hovered before me "Hey, Eve" someone called behind me, it was James. He looked tired, I ran up to him and gave a friendly hug "What happened to you?" I worried, he shook his head and gave me a weak smile "I'm fine..." James said before collapsing before me.

James was brought to his room, I waited outside and Leo came out then I asked him directly "What's wrong with James?" I asked with concern, Leo sighed "He's been adjusting the timezones, Angie. James used up all of his power on it" "But...why?" I stuttered "If we didn't balance it, who knows when will we find you again. You were gone for 5 days, Angie, try calculate it if 3 days here means 5 seconds there." He added, I was speechless. One thing for sure, I hate having people going through trouble because of me. I walked away from Leo but he grabbed my wrist "Angie. Don't think yourself as a burden, okay?" I looked at him and he gave me a hug, I couldn't bare to give him even a single nod because I did think as a burden. Leo let go of me and I gave him a weak smile, I turned to walk away.

I went to the balcony and something called me "Evangeline Sapphire Bleu" my body was shivering for I didn't see anyone there then a black fog flew around me, I couldn't scream nor speak "How I longed to see you grown." It said with a crisp voice "Who... Who are... Who are you?" I stuttered in fear "I have a feeling you know who I am already." It replied circling me. The fog stopped in front of me "You are a fool for going here." It stated flying through me and disappeared. My heart was pounding, I was catching my breath as I dropped on to my knees, then I thought was that Amethyst?

"Eve?" Zach called approaching me, his face was showing concern when he saw me on the floor still shocked "I... I saw..." I stammered "Amethyst?" He said "I don't know." I replied with a shaky voice "C'mon, how about if we go back inside? I got something to show you" he suggested, I nodded and he helped me up.

Zach took me to his gallery attic and he opened a portal like the one I got sucked in "I ain't going back there!" I  objected and backing up "It's fine. I want to show you something" Zach insisted, he calmly took my wrist and pulled me closer to the portal then a beautiful city was shown from it, I was in awed then Zach pulled me right into it. I screamt "It's alright, I'm here" he promised, we were floating in this air and underneath us was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. It was like a magical fairytail land, shining, shimmering, that Aladdin's song "A whole new world" summarize this place 10 times more.

I was in awed and Zach whispered "Welcome to the Crystal Empire" I glanced at him with my eyes widen, we got to the ground but no one seemed to notice us "This is from my memory, Eve. Before the Crystal Empire got into war" he informed walking beside me. Everyone looked so happy and rejoice. Zach took me to a castle and a big portrait of my dad was hanged there, we explored every inch of the castle and every door led me to even more exciting and wonderous things then I saw a picture of my dad with mom and my mom was holding me when I was a baby "I was born here?" I questioned "You are our princess, Eve." Zach replied standing beside me studying the picture too.

I turned at him and asked "If I'm the princess then how come you're "The heir to the throne"?" He laughed and explained "I'm the heir to the Ruby Empire, Eve. While you're the heir to the throne of all 6 Jewels Empires" my eyes widen and my index finger pointed my face "Me? A 17 year old girl? A princess? Of 6 freaking empires?" I doubted Zach gave me a smile and a nod "C'mon, this is my favorite part" Zach blurted and pulled my hand. I followed him and he led me to the top of the castle "Wait..." he said with a grin, then all 6 jewels flew around the top of the castle, each of jewels bursted in their own light and emerged, this is by far the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. We were both in awed "They're beautiful." I complimented not taking my eyes of the bursting lights from the jewels "That is why it's my favorite" Zach teased giving me a smirk.

As the jewels were brought back inside the castle, Zach and I went for a last stroll through Crystal Empire. Alas, the tour was over and we went back to Zach's gallery attic, Zach escorted me to Giselle's room "Hey, thank you" I thanked him before I closed the door "My pleasure" he smiled and left. I can't helped but smile too as I slammed myself to the bed and swept away to sleep.
