Chapter 12 - Make it clear

I took a deep breath and let it out while Zach's eyes were locked on me "Eve, I...I don't know... Ugh... I..." he stammered looking away from me "I can handle it." I told him "One thing for sure that you're not dreaming. I'm real, the Crystal Empire is real and the situation is getting worse there." He inform locking his eyes on mine "It's been 5 days, Zach. Each day makes me more and more confuse. I'm not the one you guys need, I..." I sighed "You know what? I changed my mind, save your explanation" I got out from the car and paced towards the building then Zach pulled my wrist next thing I knew his arms were around me.

We didn't say a single word, it was just Zach holding me on the sidewalk in front of my apartment's building and I let my tears wept. I cried on Zach's chest and I could feel his hand caressed my hair. Zach let go of his embrace, put one of his hand on my shoulder then he ran his thumb across my cheek, he smiled at me "You looked like you needed a hug and I think I'm right" he said carressing my cheek "This is all too much, Zach" I complained "If I had a dollar for every time you said that, I would've got 100 bucks by now" he laughed putting a strand of hair to the back of my ear "It's getting late, your aunt must be worried" he said I replied with a nod and he escorted me to my apartment with his arm around my shoulders.

Zach opened the door with his jewel power, turned out my aunt wasn't home, Zach sat me down on the couch and he sat beside me. We didn't say anything he just let me rest my head on his shoulder, for some reason I felt safe and calm, my eyes slowly closed and finally I got the sleep I've been waiting for.

I woke up on my bed with Zach's jacket around me but I didn't see his presence anywhere then someone knocked on my door "Eve." My aunt called "Come in" I said throwing the jacket to my opened wardrobe. My aunt went inside my room and sat on my bed "What time did you got home?" She asked "I forgot, I got a lift from a friend" I replied getting up and walked towards the bathroom "Oh alright then. Look, I got this business trip for a week, I hate to leave you alone but..." "I get it, Aunt Holly" I said before she could finish her sentence "Really? Well then, that went better than I expected. So, here's your allowence for a week and emergency money. No boys allowed, okay?" She stated giving the money, she walked to the door but stopped and turned to me "I love you, Eve. You know that, right?" She stated "Yeah I know, I love you too" I replied smiling at her.

She closed the door and once again I'm alone. I reached for Zach's jacket, so last night was real, everything was real. "Dollar for your thoughts?" Someone asked behind me, as I turned Zach was leaning against the door "How did you get in here?!" I startled, he smirked and controled red light above his hand "Oh yeah, ruby jewel" I said "So what were you thinking?" He asked walking towards me, I shrugged my shoulder and held out his jacket "Here. You left it" he took the jacket from my hand and stared at me for awhile "What?" I questioned looking straight to his deep blue eyes, my heart was racing so fast, I hope he didn't hear it.

"You need to get ready" he replied looking away

"Why? It's sunday"

"I have to take you somewhere"

"I don't like surprises, Zach."

"Just take a shower and get changed. I'll be in the living room"

He left my room, I closed the door then I sat down on my bed and put my hand on my heart, God, it's still beating fast. I let out a sigh and went to the bathroom. I could hear the TV was on, Zach must be watching sports or something, I opened my wardrobe and wore a black tank, white shirt, ripped jeans, boots, and a beanie. I opened the door and just as I thought, Zach was watching TV. "Alright then where are we going?" I asked closing my bedroom door, he got up and his eyes ran from my head to toe "Not bad" he commented "You are free today right?" He continued "Pfft, hell nah, I'm limited edition." I chuckled opening the fridge, Zach closed it immediately from behind me "Hey!" I protested turning myself towards him. We stared each other, with his hand beside my head holding the fridge he leaned closer and closer then he went to my ear and whispered "No time to eat, let's go" he smirked and walked away.

Damn, this guy... what is he doing to me?

We got to his car, he opened the door for me and closed it as I got inside, I put on my seatbelt "Where are we going?" I asked when Zach got in the car, he started the engine "you'll see" he replied and drove to wherever he wanted to take me. I kept looking out the window, trying to figure out all of this when Zach brought me back to reality "Hey, Eve." He called "I'm sorry for coming out of the blue like this" he apologized with his eyes were on the road "I... don't know how to react, Zach." I hesitated. I looked out the window and slowly I went to sleep "Hey, Eve, we're here" Zach called patting my shoulder, I looked around but my visions were still blurry, Zach looked at me and he said "You ready?" he got out the car and opened the door for me.

"Where are we?" I asked as I got out from the vehicle and what I saw a beautiful meadow of dandelions and we were so close to the sky "We're a long way from London, are we?" I asked staring in awed towards the view "Eve." Zach called I turned and he continued "You need to know what you're dealing with." He hovered a small jewel on his palm then threw it in the air, we were covered with red lights then Zach began "You know the story about the Crystal Empire, but you didn't know the full image. The Crystal Empire was ruled by a king. The king was loved by all his subjects, he had the Sapphire gift. The king owned various of dimensions, he is the only one who could enter them because he code them with his Sapphire jewel and as the king searched for more dimensions he found Earth. He took a stroll here and he fell in love." Zach stopped and an image of my mom came out, I gasped then Zach continued "The king went back to the Crystal Empire and told the others about his romance, the other rulers did not approve of this especially Amethyst. Why? Because the king said he would leave all of those dimensions alone rather than rule them or keep them, Amethyst thought otherwise. Amethyst left the Crystal Empire in order to make an army so that he could defeat the king and get those dimensions and ruled them when Amethyst battle the five jewels, he lost and locked down for million years and the king gave his power in command to the Ruby and he lived on earth in harmony with his wife and daughter."

"Until now, you parents car accident wasn't an accident, Eve, neither does the coincedence of you being alive. You are the Princess of The Crystal Empire. You had the code of the dimensions, your father implanted it to you since you were born. That's why Amethyst wants you so badly because with you he could open up those dimensions and who knows what would he do with them." Zach stopped and the images were gone, I dropped on my knees Zach approached me and held me "So they died because of me?" I cried on his shoulder "Don't let their sacrifice go in vain, Eve. You know to control your powers isn't that hard, all you have to do is focus." "That's the only thing I can't, Zach" I giggled getting up.

"Why do we have to see the flashback here? Why can't we do it at my place or an abandon building?" I asked looking around the meadow "Because we have to train too." Zach informed unleashing his fire sword or somewhat in his hand "WHAT?!" I shouted, this is gonna be along Sunday.
