Chapter 19 - Annoyed

I couldn't believe my eyes and just when I started to feel normal, he showed up. I paced downstairs but Chloe stopped me "Slow down, tiger. What do you think you're doing?" She snapped putting her arms crossed before her chest "I need to go downstairs, Chloe." I told her trying to pass her, "You know him, don't you?" She pointed her index finger to my face, "No. Course not." I denied.

"YOU HAVE TO INTRODUCE ME! YOU HAVE TO" Chloe demanded, "What? I told you I don't know him" I lied then Chloe grabbed my arm and said "I know you're lying, Eve, let's prove it". She pulled me downstairs to the parking lot, I kept hesitating but I failed to flee. He was leaning against his car as he saw me, he approached me and greeted "Eve." Chloe let go of her grip and grinned "I knew you know him", I sighed "What do you want, Zach?"

"I'm picking you up."

"You do know I have a car"

"Yeah? Where is it?"

"There" I said pointing to where I park it but when I look towards it, it was only an empty parking space. I felt my eyes were gonna leave my eyelids "Where the fuck is my car? I cussed but Chloe cleared her throat signaling me to introduce them both "Fuck introduction. Zach, where the fuck is my car?!" I yelled at him, "How should I know? and this is what I got after a long time we didn't see each other? You're such a pain, Eve. Hey, who's your friend?" He asked giving Chloe a wink and walking towards her. I glanced at them introducing and Zach kissed the back of Chloe's hand. Seriously? He's a gentleman around other girls but an asshole towards me?!

I paced to them and Chloe was already giggling like a fangirl "Eve, why don't you ever tell me about Zach?" Chloe asked bating her eyelashes to Zach, "Well, because there's nothing about him that I could talk about, C'mon Chloe, let's go home"

"But where's your car?"

"You don't bring yours, Chloe?"

She shook her head and Zach barged in "How about I give you a ride home, Chloe?" She grinned and Zach opened the car door for her "Well, that escalated quickly" I whispered to myself then I walked to him and blurted "I thought you were gonna pick ME up" "I was. Until you yelled at me and I think Chloe is a better company" he smirked getting inside the vehicle and drove off.

Great. How am I suppose to go home now? I searched for my carkey then Snow came with her rollerblades "What's with your face?" She asked circling me "Could you stop, Snow? I want to... uuugghhhh" I groaned annoyed "Why the fuck he's here? Why can't he just leave me alone? And with that sweet talk with her uuugghh.... what an asshole" I cussed to myself "Who's an asshole?" Snow questioned, "Just a guy. A very annoying guy" I replied looking around for my car. "Are you searching for your car?" Snow asked rollerblading beside me "Mmhmm" I answered without looking at her "It was park near that big dumbster behind school, Eve." She informed. My eyes widen and I ran to the location of my car when I found it there are a "Z.W.H" written all over it with spray. I knew right away who did it as I saw "Z", I let out a big sighed and got inside my car then I start the engine.

As I was about to drive, my phone rang and it was Chloe. "HEY EEEEEVVVEEE" she called from the other line "What?" I answered, "You have to come here! Zach brought me to this pier where a amusement park was held, OMG it's so much fun" she exclaimed excitedly and I could hear Zach's voice at the background, I turned off the phone and banged my head on to the steering wheel. Why? Why? Why?

I drove off to the pier and when I passed by a couple of red lights, Snow was leaning against my door resting from her rollerblading. I rolled my window down "Dafuq, Snow? Are you following me or something?!" I yelled, Snow didn't say a word and went inside the car "So tired" she said adjusting the AC to her face. She looked at me and sang "So... where are we going?" Like Dora did with those snails, I rolled my eyes and said "To the pier." And she only gave me an excited look like she was a little girl in a candy shop. I drove towards the pier feeling annoyed. Why? I don't know, after I saw Zach's face I felt annoyed and angry especially when he started to act all sweet towards Chloe. Not because of jealous for the record.

Me and Snow arrived at the pier, it was so crowded. "Let's go find them" I told Snow but instead she pulled me to the rides. Rollercoaster, ferris wheel and other junk. "Snow, we gotta find Chloe!" "C'mon, Eve... let's try that haunted house!" Snow pulled me inside the haunted house and I don't like it a bit.

I was holding Snow's shoulder when suddenly a skeleton fell from the ceiling and made me jumped, as I searched for Snow, she was gone. Great! Just great! I'm alone. In this haunted maze house. I walked slowly but I couldn't find the exit when there was another jump scare I bumped to someone, I screamed as loud as I can and he said "My god, Eve, shut up. It's not that scary." It was Zach and Chloe, I saw Chloe was holding Zach's arm because she was scared and she smiled when she saw me "What are you doing here?" Zach asked coldly "I'm looking for you, a-hole" I cussed, "Zach, let's get out of here. I'm starting to feel the creeps" Chloe whined, Zach gave her a nod and walked passed me. I followed them because I want to get out from there too, curse Snow for dragging me to this haunted house. Chloe kept on holding Zach's arm and screamed everytime a ghoul came, she occasionally buried her face to Zach's arm. Ugh.

While we were walking passing those ghosts and ghouls, a flock of bats flew through us and made me lost them. Is it my destiny to be alone? I walked searching for the exit door when someone came up to me from behind, I screamed but he said "Wooaah, Eve, Angie, calm down. I didn't mean to scare you. It's me Peter"

"THANK THE GODS OF ASGARD!" I exclaimed sighing of relief, he laughed "You lost?"

"Yeah, no shit. I'm alone and I kept screaming."

"C'mon, I know a shortcut"

Peter held my hand as he led me through the shortcut to the exit. We made it to the exit door, Peter let go of his hand and I thanked him for accompanied me, "Sure, no problem. I have to get back with the guys now. See you around, Angie or Eve" he said waving goodbye. I searched for Chloe and Zach then I saw them eating ice cream, I approached them and Zach teased "There you are. You made it alive." I rolled my eyes and abort my mission of knocking the shit outta Zach of why he interferring with my boring life. I left them and just went home.

I cleaned my car in the basement of my apartment then an Audi came, it was Zach's. He got out from the car and walked towards me.

"Hey there, grumpy."

"What is it, Zach? Have you had enougg of bullying me for one day?"

"I came for a good cause"

"Hanging out with my friend is a good cause, eh?"

"That's just a bonus"

I kept cleaning up my car because of the spray then suddenly a glitch came from my car. It carried the car and threw it to me, in a flash Zach protected me and put a shield. Little did I know it wasn't only one glitch. "RUN!" Zach commanded, I ran but the glitches kept on chasing me they were shooting arrows at me and a few scratch my skin. Zach came towards me with his sword and released red light to erased all the glitches instantly.

"Eve, are you all right?" Zach asked making his sword disappear, I got cuts from the arrows almost every part of my skin that's showing. I whispered "All I wanted... was just a normal life, Zach."

"I know..."

"No, you don't know. You've live with this your whole life but me... This past weeks maybe the more normal ones I get. I am no the Sapphire, Zach. Velvet and James told me to go home and so I did but you just had to show up. How dare you take me to the Crystal Empire in the first place? I never asked for this! I nearly died more than twice. I was fine these few weeks, Zach, but then you came and look at me now. People who near you always got hurt!" I cut him off yelling at him but I closed my mouth with my hand as I realised how harsh my last sentence was, his eyes widen and he sighed "Fine. You want some space? I'll give it to you. I won't bother you anymore" after that he vanished.

Shit. Maybe I shouldn't said that. He is an asshole but he did saved my life like more than once. Dang it, now I'm the asshole.
