Chapter 18 - Boring Normal Life

I got inside the car where Snow gave me a grin and asked "Who's your friend, Eve??" "Just some guy I met at a bookstore, no big deal" I stated laying back on my seat, Chloe giggled "Not just 'Some guy', Eve, that's Peter from the London Academy. He's like an ultimate heartthrob and the fact a lot of girls are chasing him, he went in for you... Daaanngg" I only gave her a smile for I don't really feel accomplished with a popular guy introducing himself to me.

This timezone between worlds making me uncomfortable, why can't I just born normal? Do boring normal teenager stuff with boring normal people. I let out a heavy sigh as Snow drove in through McDonald's. Great. The face of annoying and cocky Zach came in my mind, I rolled my eyes and slapped my face for those images to go from my mind "Woah, Eve, what's wrong with you?" Snow asked looking through the rear mirror, I shook my head "I thought you don't like junk food, Snow" I joked at her, "Once or twice it's okay and we got to jet anyway, so fast food!" She replied getting out from the car.

We ate for awhile and continued our journey, they joked around occasionally and I tried to blend in but I just couldn't focus. Finally they dropped me home and I am once again at my bedroom. I focus on my jewel and a tiny Sapphire appear on my hand like Zach had when he showed me about the Crystal Empire. It hovered on my palm as I stared into it, what secret laid inside it? What is it suppose to mean towards my life?

I closed my palm and wondered "Why did they dragged me to that messed up world if they would kick me out right after knowing it's too dangerous? Why didn't Dad said anything? Why?".

Day after day has passed and no "Crystal Empire" or Jewels involved, I tried not to think about it and just lived my new life in London. Even though sometimes images of them went through my mind and made me curious but I kept on saying that it's useless. After a week of boring life, Samuel came up to me when I was putting my books inside my locker "Hey, Eve" he called, I rolled my eyes "What?" I replied walking away but he grabbed my shoulder and I quickly snapped his hand away "I'm sorry" he apologised then he continued "I'm terribly sorry for what happened at Alex's party. I didn't know what came over me." "Whatever you say won't change a thing, Samuel." I told him leaving. Suddenly I remembered how Zach saved me from Samuel's rape. The way Zach held me, gently carress my hair, and his deep blue eyes but then I also remembered how an asshole he is for being cold and rude, he is one complicated guy.

Samuel kept on trying to make up for me but I can never forgive him for what he tried to do, I began to become very close with Snow since we kept going to the gelato place after school. One day, me and Snow were just hanging out in the gelato place where we bumped into Peter. "Angie, right?" Peter asked approaching me and Snow, I nodded and trying to remember then Snow blurted "My god, Peter! Fancy meeting you here!" "Ah, yes. Racist bookstore guy" I joked towards Peter, he only laughed and asked "Mind if I join you" "Go ahead, we got room for one more party" Snow said welcoming Peter. Peter had a very friendly cute face, he occasionally wear glasses, and he looked like a very simple guy. I haven't figure out why he's a heartthrob.

Peter smiled "So, Angie, I guess it's destiny then", I raised my eyebrow "Such cliche" I teased putting a spoon of ice cream to my mouth then "Typical blunt Eve" Snow laughed. Peter turned to me and questioned "Eve?"

"Yeah, that's my other name"

"How many names do you have?"

"Just two. Eve and Angie"

"Why 'Angie'?"

"Why so many questions?" I smirked to him, he stared long at my eyes and I could see how dark his brown eyes were "You are a mystery" he said getting up from his sit "I'd love to stay with you, lovely ladies, but duty calls" he informed giving us a wink goodbye then leaving the shop. "You are good, Eve" Snow complimented, "Why?" I asked.

"Peter never and I mean NEVER starts the conversation first"

"So? He's just some guy I met, Snow, no big deal"

"He is not "Some guy", Eve. His family owns London Academy, he's the brightest student there, he can play any instruments and fluent in many languages, more over he's a bloody gentleman! I wonder why he's single"

"He's not ALL that to me, speaking of single why are you single?"

"I don't know"

"What do you mean? Don't you have a special someone, Snow?"

"Well, someone does caught my eyes but I don't think he's looking for a relationship. Just being near him makes me feel... you know..."

"Complicated?"

Snow nodded and finished up her gelato. I parted with Snow at the parking lot. I wonder who's her crush is.

I have been living the boring life I've wished for until Chloe ran up to me and Snow who were on the second floor of school and she was panting "OMG. OMG. OH MA BLOODY GAWD" she repeated, "What's wrong with you, Chloe?" Snow said with a smile "There's... There's... a very very very.... bloody good looking angel on the parking lot." Chloe informed pointing through the window, "Uugh not this again, Chloe. I had enough" Snow complained leaving, "Fiiinneee, suit yourself!" Chloe replied.

I laughed "What's so special about a goodlooking guy, Chloe?"

"Well... this one is beyond goodlooking, Eve... he got... oh ma gawd, I can't... Just look for yourself"

I laughed as I looked through the window then my chuckle was gone and my eyes widen when I saw who Chloe referred to.

What the fuck is he doing here?!

I got a feeling you guys know who it was lol. chapter 18! I got a looooottt of ideas for the upcoming chapter and I also got 5 days off school so I hope I could use the time to write this story lol
