Chapter 6 - Where?!

I walked and walked and walked but it only led me even deeper to places I didn't recognize. I came across a garden and there's this willow tree, might as well take a rest from this. I climbed on and laid down on one of the branches, I let my eyes close.

"Hey, stranger" someone said waking me up from my nap, I looked down slowly and my eyes widen "OH MY GOD, JAMES! HOW I LOVE TO SEE YOUR BRITISH FACE!" I shouted jumping to the grounded and hug James tightly as I can when I let go, he said with a smirk "Racist much?" I giggled then he asked "What are you doing here anyway? I thought you were with Velvet" I shrugged my shoulder and walked around the tree "It was just too much to take in so I went for a walk but then I got lost, I'm tired so I took a nap in this huge tree" I explained "You climbed to the tree?" James asked with his index finger pointing to the branch of the tree, I nodded my head. James approached me and smiled "You must be hungry, lunch?" He offered "What kind of question is that?! Heck yeah I want lunch!" I paced in front of James then I stopped cause I don't know where the fuck I'm going, I heard James laughing behind me then he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and said "Why don't I lead the way?" I nodded and let him walked before me but then he gently grabbed my wrist and pulled me so that we walked side by side, I flushed.

"How are things with you, Eve?" James asked breaking the ice between us, I cleared my throat and mumbled "I don't really know"

"How come?"

"Well this is just too much, James. I just moved, I just lost my parents, I know no one here then suddenly you people... It's just too much"

"I understand, but it's not a lie that we need you. You'll know the history of you and the Crystal Empire in time, Eve"

We arrived at the mansion and James opened the door for me like a gentleman that he is, if this keeps up I would totally fall for him, those green emerald eyes, blonde slick back hair, long eyelashes, and those thin lips, he's tall but he got a small gesture of a body, I can see his collarbone with what he's wearing now, a simple black sweater and blue jeans.

James gave out his smirk and said "Are you checking me out?" My cheek turned as red as tomatos and ran inside towards the dining room until I bumped into Zach. "Shit, sorry" I cussed without looking at Zach then I heard him replied "It's okay, you're going to the dining room?" Well this is an unusual tone from the cocky Zach Ruby. I lifted my head and looked straight to his eyes, he seemed... sad. "Um... yeah" I mumbled twidling my thumbs "Well, me too. Come on" he said walking in front me. What is up with this guy? He looks furious then vulnerable, he seemed to hate me now he's nice and they say girls are complicated.

The walk to the dining room was awkward as hell, we didn't speak a single word but I feel an atmosphere that we both wanted to say something and thus, we reached the dining room. I looked at Leo and sat beside him right away.

"Hey, Leo"

"Oh hey there, Angie. Feeling better?"

"More or less, could you kindly pass me the salt please"

Lunch went usual, Velvet tried to keep the conversation going although when we are all chit chatting, Zach hadn't left his eyes from me since I sat down. Kinda creeps me out but how can I not let a cocky hunk look at me?

"I'm done." Zach said leaving the table, my eyes stared at him as he go then Leo brought me back to reality "Angie, do you wanna see what your earth is going?" My eyes widen. I'm not on earth?! "HOLD UP HOLD UP HOLD THE FUCK UP! You mean to tell me that I'm not on earth?" I shouted as I rose from my chair "Well, no. You're in the Jewel Institute and we're in another world." Velvet calmly replied, "This is getting more and more confusing" I whisper to myself "Come on" Leo said rising from his chair and gesturing me to follow him, I got up and walked beside Leo.

"Sorry we didn't tell you earlier, Angie"

"Whatever."

"C'mon, don't be like that. You're making me feel guilty!"

"You should've told me, Leo! I had enough of crazy nonsense for the past 3 days and now I'm not on earth?! Dafuq!"

"I know I know, you're maybe 3 days here but wait until you see it"

Leo led me to a room where there's this big mirror, we stood in front of it side by side and he touched the surface of the mirror with his hand then I could see it. My new friends at school, they are still in the kafeteria just like I left them. "They're still in the kafeteria..." I mumbled, "Yeah, when you're here the timezone on earth becomes like the slow motion way so you're 3 days here but no more than 5 seconds there" Leo explained, I didn't know what to say.

After a few moments we went outside the room, Leo said he had something to take care of and I got nothing to do so I decided to take a walk with hope I won't be lost. I walked pass the library, I saw Velvet was reading the floating books, he looked so sophisticated. I went to the dining room to see if there was anything I can eat, no luck. I wander some more then I heard swords, I followed the sounds of two swords battle and I found Zach & James were duelling in the backyard. I watched them duel, I'm in team James of course since cocky Zach hadn't been so nice with me since day one. After awhile Zach won, dang it. As I was about to go back inside, James called my name.

"Eve! What are you doing?"

"Hm? Ouh nothing really, just wandering"

"You saw me and Zach?"

"Uh huh, too bad you lose, James, I was voting for you"

"Really? Dammit, you should've let me won, Zach." James said punching Zach's shoulder "I've let you won like more than a million time, James." Zach replied with hitting James' head, they look childish knowing that these are two men duelling with swords it's kinda odd to see them acting like small kids but it's kinda cute as well. "Mind if I try?" I asked pointing my hand up "What?" Zach questioned with shock, "You heard me, I want to duel" I said walking towards them "I don't think that's a good idea, Eve. You might get hurt" James objected. "Ouh please" I teased as I took the sword from James hand, swing it like a pro, and pointed it to Zach's chest "You and me, pretty boy" I challenged, "Very well then, sunshine." Zach replied with his blue eyes locked to my brown eyes.

The match began.
