Chapter 9 - Wait, what?

I bumped into Velvet as I was going back to my room "Where are you heading, Eve?" He asked "Um... my room" I replied "Eve, your room is damaged" he laughed, I facepalmed my face as hard as I can. How can I forgot about that accident.

"Ouh yeah, I forgot... How did it happened anyway?" I questioned, Velvet replied "Zach sensed your jewel was in danger and by "Jewel" I meant you, we all have this kind of censors but Rubys and Sapphires have the fastest detector. He sensed it in perfect time, if he didn't come, I don't know what would happen" "Is he gonna be okay?" I asked concern, Velvet lifted my chin so I could see his bright brown eyes, he gave me a smile and said "Don't you worry, Eve. He'll be fine. While your room is being fixed, you can use Rafè's daughter's room. Let's go" Velvet offered so I followed him. Velvet looked so mature, he got silver hair not like grey silver old man hair but it's like silver with a dash of light blue, sometimes he wore glasses when he reads and he looked so formal most of the time but this time he wore only a blue shirt tucked in his black pants, I wonder if he always dress like that.

We stopped in front of a room, the door was huge. The room was simple but comfortable, there was a queen size bed, a tall mirror, wardrobe, and a bathroom "You can use Giselle's clothes if you want" Velvet offered "You sure she won't mind?" I asked then Velvet sighed "Giselle's..." before Velvet could finish his sentence, I already realized "Oh God, I'm sorry." I apologized "It's okay, you didn't know" Velvet said then he continued "Well, I will leave you right to...whatever you wanna do." I gave him a nod and watched him leave.

Giselle? Rafè's daughter? A lot of mysteries.

I studied the whole room and bathroom, it really looked like a teenager's room. I wonder if this Giselle was my age or younger? And did she...with Velvet? Cause he looked broken when he said her name. Meh. I shrugged my shoulder and went to the bathroom to freshen up. After a hot shower, I dried my hair with a towel and searched for some clothes from the wardrobe. I found a simple white dress with flowery pattern on it, a dress never been my thing but I'm not going to wear this same outfit for more than 3 days, it's starting to smell. I wore the dress and brush my hair, then I went outside to explore some more.

"Hey, Angie! You look nice." Leo called as I closed the door "I believe Velvet's told you to stay in Giselle's room, eh?" He continued and I replied with a nod. "You look down, why?" He asked, I shrugged my shoulder then we walked side by side. "It's... all confusing, Leo. Velvet said my parents' death were planned and I'm one of the chosen ones? And what's up with that damage in my room, it can't be a coincedence I mean the whole room was crumbling down right after I got inside, that's... not normal, Leo." I complained then Leo gave me a sudden hug "Do what you have to, Angie. I'll be here for you, we all are even Zach. It is too much to process but I know you can do it, you are a Zephyr, alright?" Leo comforted me, it was warm. I nodded and said "I think I need some time alone, you know clear my head." He let go of his hug and gave me a smile, he turned to walk away.

I went to the jewel room. There, I studied each of the jewels, they all had some kind of their own specialties, I could feel it. I opened the glass that covered sapphire and it hovered in front of me. The sapphire jewel had a water drop shape and the color of clear blue, it was so beautiful. I stared long at the jewel waiting for something to happen although I doubt it.

I sighed and tried to figure out how to put the jewel back. As I reached for it, it flew further from me "Da hell?" I cussed under my breath. I tried to catch it but I kept failing, when it was hovering in front of me again as fast as I can I cupped my hands around it but it flew out from the room. I chased after it, it flew there and here, up and down, side to side. Is this normal? Even for this fantasy jewel world?

I kept on chasing it until it stopped in the middle of a balcony on the top floor, well I thought it's the top floor. I walked slowly towards it as I got close enough, blue light came from every inch of the jewel. I was in awed, blue light covered me and my surroundings and then a figure was made between me and the jewel "Dad?" I asked with my eyes widen "Hey, sweetheart" he replied "Okay, what the hell is going on?" I questioned with both my hands on my head. My dad was covered with blue light and he was wearing some kind of formal outfit that I never seen before, hard to describe it but it similiar to those assassin's creed outfit but more formal not combat style.

"I know it's confusing, Eve, but you're getting to the next step now" my dad said calming me down "What next step? And why are you here? You died in a freaking car crash!" I panicked "I'm not completely alive, I am only my own concious. For you already know, you have a gift. The Zephyr Jewel. You are one of the descendants, Eve. I knew this day would come, I really wish your mother and I can witness it in person..." "Mom? Where is she? Why isn't she with you? How come I'm not dead in the car crasg? How come... God, so many questions" I interrupted by pacing back and forth in front of my dad "Look, Eve. I know and I'm terribly sorry for not telling you, we wanted you to have a normal life and we thought we had that for the past 17 years but turned out we were wrong. Your mother and I kept our powers a secret, we were going to tell you about it but we never had the perfect time. When the car crashed, all I could think of was how to save you and your mother. I sensed Shadows and Glitches were coming towards us, towards you, so we shield you." "What makes me so special, Dad? Why Amethyst wants me?" I asked staring to my dad's eyes then he replied "Because you're the Princess of the Crystal Empire."

My jaw drop on the floor.

"Okay, first Crystal Empire, second Jewel Institute, third I'm not on earth, forth I almost got killed like 5 times, fifth I'm a freaking princess of Crystal Empire? great, this just get clearer and clearer" I said sarcastically "Eve, you need to find out about your history and you powers. You are the last one who can save the Crystal Empire, you and the shattered jewel. You are the last descendant" "Why can't Zach do it? Or James? Or Velvet?" I snapped "They can't, Rafè and Pearl chose you" my dad replied.

"This is all just too complicated, Dad. I can't take it. I don't know what to do, tell me what to do!" I pleaded with tears upon my eyes, Dad gave me a hug and said "Evangeline, no one loves you more than your mother and I. We will always protect you, everything will come together in time. You'll understand, right now you can try to see what your powers can do like that time when you lift the damage of your room, that's only the beginning. I taught you how to sword and archery for a reason, sweety" he replied caressing my head, I hugged my dad as tight as I can when I stopped my sob, my dad gave a smile then I sighed "I miss you, you and mom. I miss you more than anything in the world" my dad kissed my forehead and replied "We will always be with you, Evangeline. Always." Then he disappeared and the Sapphire jewel was no longer glowing.

It hovered towards me as I reached it, it fell to my hands. I put my jewel to the glass again in the Jewel Room. I left and walked to Giselle's room, as I reached her room, I throw myself to the bed and closed my eyes then I cried like a bitch.

Chapter 9 is up, I notice that there were 2 Harrys, first was Eve's new acquaintance at her new school and the man who in charge of the Shattered Jewel before Velvet. I changed the name of the former leader of the Shattered Jewel to "Rafè" so there won't be any confusion.
