Chapter 17 - I'm...back?

I felt paralyzed, I could hear Zach shouted "C'mon, Eve! Think of your Jewel!" he carried me to the Jewel Room and he put a chant on me so I could hovered while on my back like those magicians do om their assistants. I couldn't feel anything of my body, I feel I've beaten up.

Zach cupped my face and whispered "Don't give up on me." Zach put his palm on my chest (Not my boobs for the record) and red light came from his palm to my body, he whispered some chant I couldn't hear and I felt the sting again but this time it was much more painful than before. I feel like I was possessed or maybe I was. I screamed as the pain went through me, red light bursted from me and finally I had no more energy.

Zach released the chant from me then I fell on to his arms, Zach laid me down with my head on his upper arm "Eve, talk to me." He pleaded with those blue eyes "Zach..." I called before I collapsed once again.

I woke up un Giselle's room, "You're awake." Zach said getting up from the chair near me and handed me a glass of water "Did you carried me?" I asked taking the glass from him, he only nodded and went back to the chair. "What happened?" I asked gulping my water "First of all, you were gonna jump from the top floor then I found this inside of you" Zach informed showing me some kind of metal. I lifted my eyebrow and Zach began explaining "This is the reason why you were in great pain, Bourbon planted it inside your heart" "Bourbon?" I interrupted, "The girl you met in Xtroda, she's a killing machine" Zach replied getting up from the chair and sitting down on my bed "Zach..." I called, Zach narrowed his eyes towards me and I asked "How did I managed to think of that place when I never gone there before?" Zach sighed and turned to me "What place did you thought about, Eve."

"A beach"

"Did you focus on that particular beach?"

"No"

"Did you panicked?"

"Very."

"What made you panicked?"

"Cheetah shapeshifter"

"You can only teleport to the destination you want if you focus on it, Eve. You were panicked and there was a shapeshifter which means you didn't feel safe and couldn't focus, more over you thought of A beach not THE beach you wanted. Teleporting can lead you anywhere it wants if you didn't give out a specific place. That's what takes you to Xtroda." Zach explained with his blue eyes locked to mine. We didn't lose our contact for a few seconds, he slowly leaned in and put a stray of hair to the back of my ear, our faces were so close then he whispered "How many times do you want me to save you, Your Highness?" Zach got up and gave me a smirk as he left the bedroom.

I just realised how fast my heart was beating, I looked over to mirror and my face was red, I sighed and got out of bed to freshen up. A lot of things went through my mind when I was in the shower and when I'm done I took Giselle's night gown and just went to sleep despite it was still noon.

"Eve?" Someone called by knocking the door "Hmm?" I groaned, "I'm coming in, okay?" He said with a soft voice "Hmmmmm...." I groaned again then I smelled food, I got up and saw James holding a food tray that's full of breakfast food "Breakfast in bed." James smiled, he put the food on top of my lap and sat down beside me. I dug in right away, I haven't eaten since two days ago.

"How are you feeling, Eve?" James asked watching me eat "Been better" I mumbled with my mouth full, he laughed and let me continue eating then he sighed "Eve, maybe you should go home for now." I stopped eating and stared at James.

"I think this is too dangerous for you, Eve."

"You think I can't handle it?"

"You nearly died, Eve."

"But I didn't, James"

"That's not the point. You're new to this..."

"That's why I need all of you to teach me"

"James is right, Eve" snapped Velvet coming into the room "We thought it would be best for you to go home, for your own safety." He suggested, "You're kidding, right?" I asked looking at both of them but they didn't say a thing, "I can't believe this. What a messed up world I live in, or should I say WORLDS" I sighed getting up from the bed and faced the window then I closed my eyes and thought about home.

I opened them and I'm back at my apartment in London. My aunt hadn't come home yet, I went straight to my bedroom, changed my clothes and threw myself to the bed. How dare they? How dare they told me to stay then just asked me to leave that instant? Am I not good enough? Am I that weak? Why didn't my parents told me about all of this? Normal life my ass.

I felt my phone vibrated, Snow called me but I declined it, I don't feel like talking. I just want to forget all of it. After a few missed calls I finally answered Snow's call "Yeah?" I said putting my phone on my ear "Where are you? Let's hang!" She said on the other line.

"I don't feel so good, Snow..."

"Well, let's go to the doctor because I'm already on your drive way"

"What?!"

Then my bedroom door was opened and Snow barged inside, she slammed herself to the bed "I'm so booorrreeedddd" she whined, I put down my phone on the table and sighed "Where are the others?" "Nah, just me and Chloe. She's in the car, come on we want to take you on a tour" Snow pushed me to the door and pulled me to her car. I got to the back seat and Chloe was on the passanger seat, "Hey, Eeeeevvee" Chloe greeted me with a very warm smile, Snow got to the driver's seat and started driving "So where do you wanna go?" She asked looking at me through the rear mirror, I shrugged then Chloe suggested "Let's not take Eve to the Big Ben or those usual tourist place" "I like that idea, you got any particular place you want to visit, Eve?" Snow asked me smiling, "Do you have just a simple bookstore where I don't have to buy to the books to read it?" I asked with a soft voice "You mean a library?" Snow questioned, I shook my head and said "No, libraries don't have new release books" "I know just the place!" Chloe said excitedly.

We arrived at the bookstore/library. It was a nice bookstore, it had three stories, big shelves, and people sat down anywhere they want to read the books, it was more like a library than a bookstore but I like it. I went down to the languages section to search for French dictionary then I searched the Astronomy section maybe a book will tell me about the other side of the universe.

When I search in the Astronomy section, there was a guy standing across me and he looked at me with a smile. He had black hair, brown eyes, and he wore glasses, I returned his smile then he asked "You've been searching for awhile now", I chuckled "Yeah, I guess they don't have what I'm looking for" "American." He blurted with his eyes on the book he was reading "Such racist" I replied rolling my eyes.

He laughed "Forgive me, I was assuming you weren't from this parts and I guess I was right" "I'm from New York" I informed opening a book then I could his presence in front of me, I looked up and he gave me a smile "I'm Peter" he introduced giving out his hand, I took his hand and said "Angie" "So, New York? I've been to York but never New York" he joked, "No wonder you're racist" I teased. I found the book that I wanted so I walked towards the cashier and Peter followed, as the cashier scanned and gave me the bill, Peter stepped in "Here." Giving the cashier his credit card "What are you doing?" I asked to him "Is it wrong for guy to buy a beautiful girl books? It's better than drinks, right?" He teased with a smirk.

We went outside where Snow and Chloe waited for me, "Alright then. Those are my friends" I told Peter by pointing at them and they gave us a wave, "Nice chatting with you, Angie." Peter complimented "Yeah, ouh and thanks for the books" I thank him, finally we gave each other a nod and parted. There's something about that guy...
