Sap and Aden stayed in the guest room that night. Maaga akong gumising kinabukasan to cook breakfast for them.

"Morning!" bati ko kay Sap nang pumasok siya sa kitchen. She glanced at the food on the table.

"You didn't have to cook for us. Ako sana magluluto dahil nakakahiya na sayo."

I frowned, para namang hindi ko siya kaibigan kung mahiya siya sa akin.

"Why would I let you cook? Bisita ko kayo and please, stop acting like we're not friends!" She smiled weakly. "How are you?"

She shrugged. "Okay lang ba kung iwan ko muna si Aden dito? May trial ako mamaya, hindi pwedeng hindi ako pumunta."

"Sure... I'll take care of him."

"Thank you talaga."

"Bitch, stop thanking me! Mabuti pa, gisingin mo nalang si Aden para makapagbreakfast na tayo."

Habang hinihintay sila ni Aden, naglapag ako ng mga plato at utensils sa table. Nag-init din ako ng gatas for Aden.

"Morning, Ninang!" masiglang bati ni Aden habang patakbong papalapit sa akin. Yumuko ako at hinalikan siya sa pisngi.

"Good Morning, baby! Eat ka na ng breakfast! Do you love hotdogs? I cooked them for you."

"Hotdog!" Bulalas niya at umupo, tinulungan ko siya. Si Sap naman ay umupo sa tabi niya.

"How do you like your coffee?" Tanong ko kay Sap. She looks like she didn't sleep, may eyebags at medyo maga ang mga mata.

"Walang creamer, just sugar." Tumango ako at pinagtimpla siya ng kape kasabay ng sa akin.

"Here..." nilapag ko ang tasa sa tabi niya at nagpasalamat siya habang naglalagay ng pagkain sa plato ni Aden. Umupo ako sa harap nila at nagsimulang kumain habang kinakausap si Aden. I'm glad that he has no idea about what's happening. Bata pa siya at ayaw kong masali siya sa gulo ni Sap at Spike.

"And toy cars, too!" said Aden, excitedly. He was telling us how Sage had promised to get him toy planes and cars.

"Did you enjoy playing with him?" Sap asked.

"Yes! Tito Sage... so cool!"

Napailing nalang ako habang natatawa. He's so adorable!

After eating breakfast, niyaya ko sa living area si Aden para manood. I asked Sap about his favorite cartoon and played it on TV. He was serious the whole time he was watching and he would sometimes copy the cartoon characters. I grabbed my phone from my pocket to call Sage.

"Baby..." He said from the other line.

"I called to tell you na hindi ako makakapaglunch with you. I have to take care of Aden dahil may trial si Sap."

"It's okay. I'll just visit you after work."

"Alright, don't tire yourself."

"You, too."

"I'll hang up na..." I said and I did when he answered 'okay'.

Binalik ko ang phone ko sa coffee table at nanood na rin ng pinapanood ni Aden.

"Ikaw na bahala kay Aden ah? Susunduin ko siya mamaya pagkatapos ng trial."

"Uuwi na kayo?" I asked.

"Yes, nakausap ko na yung mga guards ng subdivision not to let him in."
