Chapter 64: Argus Ahead

Argus Train Station

It's been a few weeks since the attack on Haven. Raven left to go to Vale earlier today, with Vernal leaving a few days prior to go to the rest of the Branwen Tribe. Of course, Vernal gave Jaune a little something before leaving. She couldn't give him a lot, but at least something to look forward to next time she's around him.

It's been a couple weeks since Haven was destroyed. The official report states that 'the plot to destroy Mistral's CCT Tower was thwarted by Ghira Belladonna and the Faunus militia from Menagerie. A few Hunters and some students coincidentally visiting the Headmaster were are able to lend their assistance. Unfortunately, Leonardo Lionheart lost his life trying to defend his school. Those responsible for organizing the attack managed to escape, but not before setting off explosions that caused quake-like activity throughout Mistral and destroying several mountains around it.' As I'm sure you can guess, there's a lot more to this report than I'm willing to say in this letter, but for now, what I'm trying to say is that we're on our way to Atlas, James. There's a good chance we'll get there before this letter does, but in case we don't, I need you to know that we're bringing a lot more than bad news with us.

Qrow

Qrow drops off his letter at the train's postal center, but truth be told, if they reach Atlas, it'll be before the letter. If they don't, well, hopefully, the military is running the mail between the continents.

Qrow: "Well, if not, then-"

He feels a pulling on his arm, which is now connected to a very excited Ruby.

Qrow: "Jeez, what's with the running?"

Ruby: "What's with the standing!? It's almost time!"

Ruby's POV

Urging Uncle Qrow to hurry up, Ruby runs through the train station, using her Semblance to go even faster. She gets back to the others, eagerly bouncing around while smiling super happily.

Yang: "And?" she asks her younger sister.

Ruby: "AH!"

She holds out a bag labeled "Mistral Central Station Gift Shop", indicating that whatever she bought was a souvenir.

Weiss: "What a complete waste of-"

Yang: "What did you get me!?"

Ruby: "You'll have to wait and seeee!" she sing-songedly responds.

Yang: "No fair!"

Ruby sticks out her tongue at Yang, who lunges forward to try and get whatever it was Ruby had gotten her. However, Nora pushes them apart, her own excitement taking over.

Nora: "Oh, I can't BELIEVE we're taking the train to Argus! Beautiful northern coastline! You think it's too early for beach season?"

She and the rest of the girls think about Y/N at the beach. Sure, they've all seen him naked and liked what they saw, but the enticing sight of seeing, yet not seeing...

Ren: "Probably not. But at least we'll be one step closer to Atlas."

Of course, he didn't share the others' fantasy, so he was quick to interrupt it. He gets up and leaves, wanting something to drink.

Weiss: "Well I'm glad you're all excited, but I don't think you appreciate the trouble I went through to leave Atlas."

Ruby: "I know you're worried Weiss, but trust us. Team RWBY won't leave your side for a second! I promise!"
