Chapter 1: A New Rose

Y/N's POV, 3 Years Later

It's been three years since you've found that sword. Since you've found it, you have decided to name it Svarturdreki (Black Dragon in Icelandic) and have used it to kill many Creatures of Grimm, as well as training with Jaune and his great-great-grandfather's sword and shield, Crocea Mors.  Jaune was accepted in Beacon Academy, and no offense to him, you don't know how.  One day as you're training by yourself, you see a man in green observing you.

Y/N:  "Hello?  Can I help you with something?"

???:  "Hello, Mr. Arc... or should I say, Mr. Rose?"

Y/N (thoughts): 'Hmm, he knows who I am, I'd better keep on my guard.'

Y/N:  "My name is Y/N Rose as you already know.  Who might you be?"

???: "My name is Professor Ozpin.  I'm the headmaster at Beacon Academy.  You have silver eyes I notice."

Y/N:  "Yes, my mother and sister have them as well.  What is this about?"

Ozpin:  "Let me cut to the chase then.  I've heard about your skill from around the kingdom and would like to offer you a place at Beacon."

Y/N:  "Going to Beacon huh?  Well sorry.  I'm not very inter-"

Ozpin:  "As you know, your brother Jaune is going this year, is he not?  He's not the only person you know going there."

This caught your attention.

Ozpin:  "Both your sisters Ruby and Yang are going there.  Yang has the skill and grades to get in and Ruby's become a strong scythe wielder like your Uncle Qrow Branwen, which is why I invited her myself."

Y/N (thoughts): 'So that drunk taught Ruby huh?' 

You had always liked when Qrow came to visit.  He always treated you nicely and what's best of all is that whenever your mom was away on a mission and he came, Tai would stop hitting you.  Tai was afraid of Qrow you think to yourself.  Despite being a drunk, he felt more like a father to you than Tai did.

Y/N:  "You know Ozpin?  I'll come to your academy.  However, don't tell Ruby, Yang, or Jaune.  I want to tell them myself.  Whatever you do though, do NOT tell my mother Summer and father Tai."

Ozpin: "Very well, young Y/N.  I shall see you at Beacon." And Ozpin took his leave.

Ozpin's POV

Ozpin (thoughts):  'Hmm, I sensed something powerful within him.  Two extremely powerful things.  One was his semblance, which he has seems to have unlocked, but there was something else... could it be...?"

Timeskip, Beacon Airship

You dress yourself up in a hooded cloak so your face can't be seen and say goodbye to your parents and sisters.  You board the airship as you head to Beacon.  While you're on the way, you see your brother.  You start walking over to and tapped his shoulder.

Jaune:  "Yes, who wants me?"  He turns around and sees you.  "Y/N!-"

Ruby perks up at hearing this, but doesn't know where it came from.
