Chapter 70: Protection

Y/N's POV

Waking up in a soft and comfortable bed while looking up at an unfamiliar ceiling, your sleep head tries to remember what happened last night. You remember coming to Argus, meeting Sienna Khan, finding Saphron's house, Blake freaked out upon seeing Sienna, and-

???: "Ah..."

You hear a sleepy yawn followed by slight movement. The sensations coming from your slightly tired, but satisfied, body come into focus, where you feel sweaty, with a source of heat on both sides of you. The memories come flooding back as you vividly recall what happened after you got to Saphron's. She yelled at you for having a harem, she and Terra confessed their love for each other and you, and then the three of you...

You look down and see Saphron on your right, Terra on your left. And oh yeah, the three of you are completely naked... Huh...

Y/N (thoughts): 'So that wasn't a dream... Well, alright then.'

You've gotten used to this feeling, so your grip on their shoulders tightens slightly.

Y/N: "I love you both." you tell their sleeping forms softly.

You lay your head back down, letting yourself sleep a little longer. However, that effort is interrupted when you hear a slight creaking sound coming from in front of you. Your head immediately whips up to look at the door to the bedroom, black hair with red tips coming through.

Summer: "I see you had a good night." she whispers with a smirk. "Don't worry, I'll wait my turn. I'll get started on breakfast soon, so you can sleep in a little longer. I'll come back when it's almost done so you can get dressed and... clean up." she giggles.

She goes back out of the room, closing the door fully. You hear her footsteps walk away, growing quieter to the point where you can no longer hear them. Breakfast sounds good, but sleep sounds much better right now.

Later

Having slept in a little while longer, you open your eyes again, feeling rested. However, you feel a slight ringing in your ears.

Svartur (mentally): 'So you woke up, huh?'

Y/N (mentally): 'Svartur? Where-'

Svartur (mentally): 'I'm downstairs. We're close enough now that I can directly contact you. That's not the issue here. The issue is that even after you got back, you left me downstairs! I had to listen to your lovemaking for half the night! You didn't even give me the option to watch!"

The way she said that makes you feel uncomfortable. Why is she complaining about that!?

Y/N (mentally): 'Why did you want to watch!?'

Svartur (mentally): 'I said the option!' she protests. 'I never said I would!'

That makes you feel... slightly better?

Y/N (mentally): 'O...kay then?' You mentally shake your head to rid yourself of those thoughts. 'Did I miss anything while I was gone?'

Svartur (mentally): 'Not particularly. There was some trouble on the train, we picked up an old lady and her untrusting granddaughter, but I'll tell you about all that later. Ddraig told me what happened in Vale, from rescuing Loke's family from Salem's tower, to liberating Beacon.' She pauses. 'To what happened with the Lamp...'

The mention of the business with the Lamp and the truth you learned about Ozpin... You still don't know what you're going to do about Salem. You told Ddraig that you'll figure something out, but as of now, you have no idea what that is or how you're going to accomplish it.
