Chapter 28: Unexpected Surprises, the Good and the Bad

Y/N's POV

You wake up in an airship, in slight pain as you feel your aura healing the rest of your injury.

Ddraig:  "Good to see you're up kid.  Thought we lost you there for a minute."

Svartur:  "Indeed.  Your sister even tried to wield me to keep a Grimm away from your body."

Y/N:  "Wait, Grimm are here?  What happened?"

Ddraig and Svartur explain the situation to you as best as they can.

Y/N:  "Alright, I've gotta go then.  Ddraig!"

Ddraig:  "Yeah!"

Ddraig:  "WELSH DRAGON - BALANCE BREAKER!"

You get into your Balance Breaker and exit the ship, trying to find whoever you can save.

Ruby's POV

On the ship she landed on, Ruby starts to fight a Griffin Grimm that lands on it.  As it falls, there's someone behind her, who takes a picture and sends it to Torchwick.

WFL:  "Hello little girl."

Weiss's POV

The various teams are fighting off robots and Grimm.  The Atlesian Paladins are really giving them a hard time.

Weiss:  "Theyre too tough."

As she says this, she looks over and sees Nora push Ren out of the way of a Paladin's punch.

Ren:  "Nora no!"

As he says this, he also gets hit.

Coco's firing her minigun at one of them, but to no avail.

Neptune:  "Uhh, this is bad."

Coco turns to Velvet, who isn't currently fighting.

Coco:  "Well, I guess now's a better time than any.  Velvet!"

Velvet:  "Really!?" she says excitedly.

Coco:  "Just make them count."

Velvet nods as she walks past.  Weiss is shocked that Coco would let her.

Weiss:  "She's going to get hurt!"

Coco:  "Just watch."

Velvet walks up to the two Paladins in front of them.  She extends her hand and a projection of Ruby's scythe, Crescent Rose, appears.  She leaps into the air, holding the scythe as Ruby would, and swings down.  As she lands the projection fades.

A new projection appears, this time being Weiss's rapier, Myrtenaster.  The Paladin swings down at but, but she blocks with the projection.  She backs up, gets into Weiss's stance, and charges forward, delivering a flurry of quick and precise attacks.

In the middle of her combo, she punches it with a projection of Ember Celica, Yang's gauntlets.  She fires a few shots at it.  As it swings it's arm across to grab her, she ducks and the projection fades.

Blake's weapon, Gambol Shroud, appears in her hands and she stabs into the Paladin's fist as it retracts its swing.  She then uses the projection's ribbon to swing around the legs and knocks it to the ground.  The other Paladin come in and tries to punch, but she swings up, cutting off a part of the arm. 

She throws the blade into the "face" as it takes on fire from a projection of Coco's minigun.  It survives the shots and walks forward towards her.  It goes to punch her, but she jumps and hits the first with Nora's hammer, Magnhild.  She leaps in the air, gains momentum by doing a few flips, and slams the hammer projection down, knocking off the Paladin's arm.
