Your story about the radio and your past life was very.. intriguing. You were certain Paimon and Amber stopped listening halfway through to which you did not mind.

What you didn't expect was Aether still listening and absorbing every information you tell. You couldn't blame him, radios are very intriguing and being a radio host was your passion after all.

If only you knew the real reason Aether was still listening and able to catch up on your words was because he finds you interesting. The way you talk and use your hands to make gestures and exaggerate some words somehow made him listen more to your voice.

He couldn't believe that you were a demon. He knows demons are bad. But you, you haven't done anything that he could see as bad so far.

Aether can't help but look at the fluffs on top of your head as well from time to time. The small antlers that adorned your head along with the fluffy ears that would twitch from time to time. He finds it cute.

He wonders how soft would they be if he touches them. He'll have to ask for your permission first. Consent is important after all.

"We're here! Let me officially introduce the city of wind, dandelions, and freedom. Travelers under the protection of the Knights of Favonius -- Welcome to Mondstadt!" Amber exclaimed as you observed the city.

"But.. the city folk don't look too cheery." Paimon stated as you and Aether noticed it as well.

"Everyone's been put out of place by Stormterror recently. But everything will turn out fine as long as Jean's with us!" Amber reassured.

"Jean..?" Aether asked. "Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius -- Jean, Defender of Mondstadt." Amber replied.

"With Jean on our side, surely even the vicious Stormterror will be no match for us." she added with a proud look.

'Defender? She must be the highest in command of this city. I wonder if I can take over this place..?' you thought to yourself, your grin widening.

You felt a gust of wind flew past you. 'Right.. the Anemo God watches over this land. The Acting Grand Master could be just a second-in-command.' you thought.

'If I want to earn these people's trust. I suppose I'll have to play nice. Maybe I can find and learn some other things here that can cure my boredom soon.' you added as you looked back at Amber.

"Before I take you guys to the Knights of Favonius headquarters. I have a present for you, Aether." Amber stated.

"He-hey! Why doesn't Paimon get a reward? (Y/N) too?" Paimon exclaimed.

"Well.. because this reward is useless to you, Paimon. As for (Y/N), I apologize but I only have one on me. But not to worry, I'll treat you both to a traditional Mondstadt delicacy -- Sticky Honey Roast." Amber explained.

"Oohhh Sticky Honey Roast!" Paimon exclaimed, a bit of drool coming out of the side of her mouth. You chuckled while pulling out a handkerchief from your pocket, wiping away Paimon's drool.

"That would be lovely." you stated while Aether watched the exchange between you and Paimon, debating if he should also ask for the delicacy instead so he can eat some with you.

----------

Amber took you all to the city's high ground. You and Paimon were looking around while Aether talked with Amber about his present: a wind glider.

Amber thought about getting you one as well but you told her you were fine by staying on the ground. The last time you went flying was when you tried to use your dear friend Husk as a kite.

It was fun but being in the air and unable to use most of your abilities was a disadvantage. Either that or getting caught in the middle of other demons' turf wars.

You didn't mind of course, in fact, you actually join in on the battle and come up victorious. You get scolded by Charlie and Vaggie afterwards.

"(Y/N)! Paimon! Aether and I are going to climb up some buildings so he can test out the wind glider!" Amber called out as you waved at them in return.

"Have fun! We'll be staying here!" you replied as you sat down on the bench nearby and summoned a cup of coffee.

"Paimon wonders how Aether will go. What if he falls?" Paimon asked as she floated beside you.

"If he falls, he falls." you replied with a smile while taking a sip of your coffee.

"Eh?! That's mean! And Paimon even wonders if you'll even be able to use your abilities to save him." Paimon said as she looked at one of the roofs of the buildings to see Aether.

"There he is! Over there!" Paimon exclaimed while pointing towards one of the buildings. You followed her gaze and saw Aether looking at the scene around him, completely oblivious that he was sneaking glances your way.

You watched in amusement as Aether jumped off the building. "Is this how people learn to glide in this world? Jumping to their deaths?" you asked Paimon and turned to see her panicking.

"AETHER USE YOUR WIND GLIDER!" you heard Amber yell from the top of the building. You noticed Aether was fumbling to activate the wind glider.

"I'M TRYING! IT WON'T WORK!" Aether screamed back.

"(Y/N)! Do something! Aether is going to fall to his death!" Paimon shrieked as you stood up from the bench and made your cup disappear before using your shadow to teleport to where Aether was.

You reappeared from the ground and held out your hands as you caught Aether in your arms. "Well that was unexpected!" you said with a small giggle.

"Aether, dear are you alright?" you asked as Aether slowly open his eyes to see you and quickly took notice the position you both were in.

You saw Aether's face turn cherry red and tilted your head to the side. You watched as Aether jumped out of your arms while muttering a small 'I'm fine.'.

"Phew! Paimon is glad Aether is okay! Hey, why is your face red?" Paimon asked as she examined Aether's face.

"NOTHING IS WRONG! IT'S JUST SO HOT HERE!!"

You and Paimon were surprised at Aether's response as you both watched him cover his flushed face.
