The tension between you and Kaeya was suddenly cut off when the both of you heard some mumbling.

You turned to see an abyss mage chanting a spell as it aimed its staff towards you and the bluenette. You summoned your microphone, about to teleport yourself and Kaeya when a burst of flames appeared through the room and headed towards the abyss mage. Behind the flames, you saw Diluc.

Kaeya gently set you down as
you watched Diluc dash towards abyss mage, grabbing it by its head and throwing it to the other side of the room. The abyss mage nearly missing you by an inch as you grinned when Diluc ran past you.

Kaeya let out a round of applause when Diluc summon his weapon and finished off the abyss mage. You saw Diluc turned his head to look at you, a look of worry in his gaze but it quickly disappeared when he noticed the male beside you and glared at him.

"Knights of Favonius.. always so inefficient." Diluc exclaimed as you felt the air becoming tense between the two men.

"Agree to disagree. But your involvement in this just made things a whole lot more interesting." Kaeya replied with a chuckle.

You were about to greet Diluc but decided not to when you saw him look back at you and shook his head, quickly understanding what he meant. You watched as Diluc head out of the room, leaving you and Kaeya behind.

"Well that was interesting." Kaeya stated. "I can take care of the rest here. You can go on ahead." he added as he gently grasp your hand and gave your knuckles a light kiss.

"Be safe on the way, my sweet demon." Kaeya exclaimed with a smirk as you saw a small glint in his eye.

----------

You walked out of the temple and saw Diluc leaning against a boulder, arms crossed.

"I didn't expect to see you in one of the four winds temple." Diluc stated as he uncrossed his arms and walked towards you.

"Hm, I'm assuming this is the errand you were referring to when you kicked me out of the tavern?" you asked with a small chuckle as you smiled up at the red head.

"I didn't 'kick you out'. I didn't want any trouble to happen if I left you alone at the tavern." Diluc replied as the two of you began to walk back to Mondstadt.

You hummed at the answer and looked ahead. "Four winds. What do you mean by that?" you asked Diluc, tilting your head to the side.

"Dragon of the East, Lion of the South, Wolf of the North, Falcon of the West. They are the Four Winds of Mondstadt, affiliated with Barbatos, the God of Anemo." Diluc explained as the two of you continued to walk in silence.

"Did he hurt you?" Diluc asked, looking you over for any injuries before landing his eyes on yours.

"You mean Kaeya? No, he didn't harm me in any way. He just flirted throughout the investigation. Why do you ask? Were you worried? Oh my! The stoic bartender is worried about a demon! Now that is something!" you exclaimed with a laugh, Diluc slightly glaring at you.

You wiped a tear from your eyes and ceased your laughter when you noticed the male beside you becoming upset. "I apologize for laughing. If it helps you feel better, I did whacked him on the head from one of his flirts." you said as you twirled your staff in your hand while giving Diluc a small grin.

You heard a small chuckle coming out of the male, making you grin wider. "You know, you should smile more. You always have a frown on your face and it's making you underdressed." you stated, making Diluc confused.

Diluc's eyes widened in surprise when you leaned towards him while your fingers pinched his cheeks upwards, forcing him to smile.

"Smile, darling! You know you're never fully dressed without one!" you happily exclaimed.

Diluc felt his face becoming warm. He didn't know if it was because of the heat of the weather, maybe his pyro vision too or you being so close to him and calling him 'darling'. Diluc didn't care what the reason was, he's too busy admiring you up close.

----------

"The headquarters should be right here... aha! There it is!" you said as you headed towards the Knights of Favonius headquarters. You saw Jean outside the building, talking to a woman who wears a mask that covers her eyes.

'Maybe Jean knows where I can find Lisa.. but who is that strange woman she's talking to?' you thought to yourself, ears perking up as you tried to listen to their conversation while looking at your claws.

Once you made sure the masked woman had left, you walked towards Jean with a friendly grin.

"Good afternoon Jean!" you greeted. "Oh, (Y/N), good afternoon to you too. I've heard from Kaeya that you both were able to investigate the Temple of the Wolf. Thank you for your help, the elemental flow is finally stable. The aftermath of Stormterror's last attack is finally settled for the moment." Jean exclaimed with a sigh of relief.

"It was my pleasure to be able to assist. After all, I did manage to get some good entertainment around here. Actually, I was wondering if you know where Lisa is?" you asked Jean, making her look at you with slightly narrowed eyes.

You have to hold back a laugh when you noticed her stare. It's a look of distrust. You already saw that look from your old contracts before you took their souls. You even saw it on Vaggie's face when you first entered the Happy Hotel.

"May I ask why?" Jean replied as she crossed her arms. "Well, I have found a strange item and I was thinking of showing it to Lisa to gain some information about it. I suppose you should come and take a look at it as well. It's possible you have some knowledge about the item and the power it has." you explained with an innocent smile.

"Oh, I see. Let us head back to headquarters then. We shouldn't discuss important matters.. out in the open." Jean stated.

"That would be a wise decision." you replied.
