"(Y/N), get down from there. You might fall and injure yourself." Aether called out as he, Paimon and Zhongli looked at you hanging on the highest tree branch of a large tree.
"I'm not going anywhere." you replied, hissing at a certain creature as it barked and tried to reach up to you.
"It's only a dog, (Y/N)! Paimon wonders why a big, scary demon like you is even afraid of these guys." Paimon exclaimed as she petted the dog.
"That creature is the most vile thing that has ever existed! I'm not leaving this tree. In fact, I will now live in this tree from now on." you stated, making yourself comfortable at the branch you sat upon as you stared down at your companions.
"Now you're just being silly!" Paimon called out as Aether scratched the back of his head, having a hard time to get you down the tree.
You stood on your guard when the dog kept barking loudly at you. Your grin strained as you hissed back at the dog, glaring at it to make it go away but it wasn't effective.
"(Y/N), the tree branch isn't going to hold on much longer. Any moment now and it might snap." Zhongli informed you.
"I think I'll be fine myse--"

Aether's eyes widened when he saw the branch broke as you begin to fall. He quickly ran towards you with his arms out to catch you, not noticing Paimon doing the same as the both of them harshly crashed into each other.
You felt someone catch you as you slowly opened your eyes and looked to see yellow, amber eyes staring back at you. Unknown to the both of you, the curse on your arm glowed brightly than before.
"I told you the branch will break, it's a good thing that I was able to catch you or else you would have gotten hurt." Zhongli exclaimed, giving you a smile.
You flinched when you heard the dog bark again as you and Zhongli looked down to see the dog pawing at the male's pant leg. You held onto Zhongli when the dog started to jump.
"Don't let go. Don't put me down. Don't drop me." you repeatedly told Zhongli, watching the dog closely to make sure it doesn't try anything.

"I won't." Zhongli replied as he tried to carry you away from the canine but it kept following where you go.
"For Lucifer's sake, someone take it away!" you exclaimed, letting out a small yelp when it jumped and almost bit the end of your tailcoat.
You didn't notice Zhongli's eyes glow a bright yellow as he stared down at the canine. The dog quickly walking back in fear as it let out short whimpers.
"There is nothing to be afraid of. You're safe now. The dog has left to find some food." Zhongli informed you, gently placing you down on the ground as you warily looked around the area to make sure that the dog is nowhere in sight.
"Alrighty! Thank you for helping me, dear!" you replied, letting out a sigh of relief as you grinned at Zhongli.
You and Zhongli heard someone groan in pain as you both turned and saw Aether rubbing his head in pain while Paimon was unconsciously laying on the ground. You carefully picked up Paimon and raised a brow when you heard her chanting numerous dishes as drool started to pour out of her mouth.
"Are you alright, dear?" you asked Aether, adjusting your hold on Paimon with one hand as your other hand helped Aether stand up to his feet.
"I'm alright." Aether replied as he gave you a reassuring grin. Paimon shifted in your arms as she slowly wakes up from her food dream and floats out of your arms.
"What a dream! Paimon dreamt about eating lots and lots of delicious food. And the best part is that (Y/N) is the one cooking for Paimon!" Paimon exclaimed, stars forming in her eyes as you chuckled in return.
"That sounds like a nice dream, dear. Are you feeling alright?" you questioned your floating friend as she nods her head in return.
"I suppose we can start with what we came here for now that the situation is already fixed." you stated, glancing towards Zhongli as you patted Paimon's head.
"Well then, let us be off. The first step in our preparations shall be to obtain some prize Noctilucous Jade worthy of a deity." Zhongli informed.
'Why do I feel like something terrible might happen? Oh well, as long as the entertainment is good then I won't complain.' you thought to yourself, feeling a shiver run down your spine when you felt someone's stare on you. You looked around your surroundings to find the person but found none, making you raise your guard as you followed your companions.

"So, now that we got the jade and the flowers... how do we make the perfume?" Paimon asked as she looked at Zhongli.
"Unfortunately, none of my acquaintances have personal experience in the art of decoction. Hence, I need you to help by asking around the city. Try talking to the common folk, especially women." Zhongli replied.
"So this time we get to go around town looking for nice-smelling ladies to talk to? Paimon likes this job!" Paimon exclaimed, clapping her hands in excitement.
"I will wait for you near the Statue of The Seven. Meet me there when the perfume is ready." Zhongli informed as you went your separate ways to ask the people in the city.
"Hey (Y/N), do you have any perfume on you we can offer? Since you know.. you always have this nice and calming smell around you." Paimon asked while Aether turned his attention to you, making you raise a brow.
"Dear, I don't even wear any perfume! But what you might be smelling on me right now could be dried blood, coffee, and the scent of burnt wood from my time with Klee..." you replied, muttering the last parts to yourself as you held your chin in thought.
"Even if you don't wear perfume, I agree with Paimon. You have this nice and calming smell that's really comforting." Aether stated, giving you a small smile.
'So the scent of dried blood is comforting..? The people in this world sure are strange...' you thought to yourself as you and your companions found a woman named Ying'er.
"Well hello.. you found me at last. I've been waiting for you.. especially you sweetheart." the woman, Ying'er, exclaimed as she pointed at you with a playful wink.
'Oh no..' you thought to yourself as you gulped and awaited for what is about to happen next.
