His cocky voice filled my ears as he whispered "we could make this happen mi amor~" my face was boiling i could feel my face overheat with what he said as he waved my small book around i looked up from my pillow "are you serious we're fifteen!" i yelled and he smiled at me anyway i looked at him scared and i noticed that he was actually thinking about it "no" i said and he frowned "ok amor" he said putting his head on my shoulder i smiled and pat his head he grabbed my waist and fell to the side as our heads bounced off the pillows and i laughed his eyes looked into mine and i smiled "your so perfect" he said and i looked at him shocked "your even more perfect" is said his smile grew into a cocky grin his eyes were full of love as he gave me a gentle kiss suddenly i heard a crash come for downstairs and i pulled away from him quickly standing up from my bed and running to my door Camilo right behind me we ran downstairs and i saw my mama on the floor "Mama?! Are you ok" i ran up to her and helped her sit up "yeah Mija, im fine i just don't have the strength to cook" she's said her voice sounded sad and i grabbed her hand Camilo started to pick up the mess as i sat with my mama her eyes weren't as shiny as they used to be i pulled my hand away from hers and placed it on her face she smiled and i helped her stand up she smiled at me and i looked at Camilo and as if he knew what i was thinking he picked her arm over his shoulder and lead her back to her room. In a couple of seconds, I heard coughing come from her room with paps slight Spanish accent through the wall "mi Vida, I'm sorry.." his voice couldn't be heard as it felt wrong that I was listening to what he was saying I zoned out as I started to make breakfast, a short second later I felt arms wrap around my waist and a head place itself gently on my shoulder "amor?" Camilo said I muffled response and he said "can we go to my house?" I nodded and finished cooking the eggs for me and him, scrambled, Dolores told me that was his favorite type of eggs I think he noticed cause as soon as I got his on a plate he grabbed it and started to eat it his face gave an 'i don't know how I feel about this' look and I laughed "what's in this?" he asked I looked at him and stopped laughing "I put cheese in my scrambled eggs, I feel like it gives it a superior taste" I said my hands were on my hips I suddenly hear a crash from my mama's room and my Papa calling me in Camilo looks at me as I push past him and run to my mama's room

"Mama?" I yelled into the darkroom the small candle was burnt out on the floor and next to it lay mama her breaths were almost unable to be heard Camilo held the door open as I rushed to mama my papa holding her closely in her arms "Mija" he said his voice sad he had a lump in his throat and almost as if on key he started to have small tears fall from his eyes "mi Vida?" he asked her she responded with a sad smile "yes?" her voice was almost giving out her eyes lost all hope to that of which they once had Camilo sat beside me on the floor his hand moved to mine "Mija" my mama's voice rang out "I'm sorry I didn't get to spend time with you I thought I would have more time" she said her almost limp hand placed itself on my cheek I did my best not to cry for my papa's sake Camilo let go of my hand and gently picked Mama up "go get the other kids" Camilo told my papa. Papa reluctantly nodded as Camilo took Mama and placed her on the bed I grabbed the chair I sat in when I was in here and sat next to her like always her hand found its way back to my cheek "mama please don't apologize." I said sniffling Camilo stood behind my chair "you have nothing to be sorry for you didn't know" I said my voice cracking as the other members of the family walked in except Kaytlyn who seemed to have no remorse for what was happening "Aunty?" Lee's tiny voice could be heard he had tears in his eyes my papa picked him up and set him next to Mama he grabbed her bigger hand and held it with his small ones "didn't die Aunty" he said choking out sobs my heart broke he had seen his mama die and now as seen my mama start to "Oh my little Lee" she started to say "don't worry I'm going to a better place" she said with that tears started progressively flowing down my face as I planted my head on the bed Andrew placed a hand on my back rubbing it softly I could hear Camilo trying not to cry behind me mama was strong for so long "why does aunty have to go? What place is better than with us?" Lee asked my sobs became more fluent as his words filled my ears and mind soon Papa's cries could be heard,

"Aunty, thank you for taking me and my brothers in, when mama past away" he said coughing so tears didn't come out i could tell he wanted to cry but wanted to be strong for the rest of the family "your welcome dear, im so sorry that i couldn't have spent time with you guys but the last few weeks that i've been back have been amazing" she said a tear fell from her eyes "i wrote you all letters, i hope you guys can read them, and i know that this is hard but i am one lucky Mother and Aunt to have you children in my life" she said Camilo was now sniffling and i grabbed his hand "i hope you two make it" she said and my eyes filled with tears "Mama i don't want you to go" i said my voice was sad and i knew i had no control over it but i really didn't want her to go "Mija, your going to be just fine without me and now you have Pepa she knows how to make quick decisions, she will be an amazing mother-in-law one day" she said Camio was now crying "and Camilo i know i've said this so many times but, i'm so happy my mija got to meet a good boy like you that she can hopefully grow old with you made her feel safe when we couldn't and for that i will forever be grateful i left you a letter as well along with your mother, tio, and tia" she finally said and closed her eyes before opening them again "and my loving esposo, i'm glad i got t be yours for as long as i have and i hope you can stay strong through this and make our family of amazing children just as happy with me there" she said "kaytlyn i know you dislike me i know you love your Abuelo but i had to do what i did for everyone's safety, i love you and nothing will change that Mjia" she said and i could hear Kaytlyn start to cry "mama i don't hate you" she said and came up giving mama a hug "i was upset you didn't wanna stay and be a family" she said and she looked at me "and i know i wasn't the best sister but i did everything i could to make sure that Abuelo didn't hurt you, i talked things out with him when he was angry but sometimes that wouldn't work and i'm sorry" she said to me and i looked at her and smiled "its ok" i said and she looked at me than but her hand on my shoulder mama closed her eyes once again but this time she didn't open them we heard her breathe on last gust of air and than she didn't do it again i turned to Camilo and gave him a hug as i cried into his ruana he patted the back of my head and tried to calm me down "its alright mi amor" he said as he watched my papa and Lee hug each other as they cried
