Chapter 7

Camilo's pov

"Oh my god, I kissed her" I thought my head was spinning as I pulled away and my face felt warm my cheeks flushed and I look at her she had a hint of red on her cheeks her e/c orbs were shining in the moonlight that had came out the stars were shining so beautiful but her eyes shone brighter than them, they were mesmerizing her hair, her eyes, everything about her was perfect.

"Camilo..why did you kiss me?" She asked my face grew warmer "I..uh..don't really know" I said but I knew why I did she was so perfect and her face was just so beautiful, suddenly I noticed y/n move her sitting position and looked at me "well thank you" she said her voice sounded so calm and full of happiness he bright attitude made me smile i leaned forward and planted a small kiss on her cheek and rested my head against her shoulder her breath hitched and she quickly exhaled I smile

"What are your plans for tomorrow" I asked "I have a bunch of chores abuelo gave for tomorrow" she said her voice didn't sound enthusiastic anymore "really like what?" I asked she sighed "I have to clean the whole house, including everyone's rooms and the basement, I have to get wood from the market and just a lot of stuff like that" she said I looked around "what if I help you?" I asked my voice really hopeful "I don't know we could try" she said I sat up so exited "a whole day with you? Sounds amazing" I said her face burned up and I smiled

Y/n's pov

His smile was for happy I'm hoping that he doesn't do anything stupid again "I promise to keep my mouth shut this time!" He said his look was serious "I don't want you hurt again because of me" he said his ruana flew in his face as he moved his arm and I laughed "your so stupid" I say through laughter and then he shapeshifted into me "look at me I'm y/n, I'm so pretty and I laugh at everything" he said his voice sounding nothing like me, I looked at him in a serious way but he didn't notice he suddenly switched back and smiled "you do the worst impersonator" I say

He smiled "no I'm not I'm the best!" He says his cocky voice filled the air with pride I giggled and smiled at his as he sat back down his eyes were lit up by the candle that he had lit when we sat down his golden green eyes had little hints of hazel making his eyes perfect looking, my eyes were boring in comparison, I knew Camilo didn't think that but I did I knew his personality had some fake parts to it too but he was genuinely awesome, from his curly hair to his amazing sandals, "why do you keep starring at me like that" he asked and made a wasp noise "do you like me?" He asked and my face heated up

I tried to talk but I couldn't all that came out was stuttering he laughed and placed another gentle kiss on my lips. I could have sworn my soul left my body because after a couple minutes I was shaken and asked if I was alright and I nodded "I'm sorry I didn't mean to break you" he said and I smiled leaned in and gave him one of his gentle kisses back this time it was his turn for his face to go completely red "that's cheating" he says hiding his face in his ruana I smiled "then you cheated first amor" I said he now had turned away from me pouting

"Even Lee doesn't act this childish" I say my face was now serious he turned to me and I smiled he laid his head on my legs and I smiled playing with his curly locks that were in front of his face his green eyes had shut as calming it was for him "you know y/n" he said "what?" I asked continuing to play with his hair "I only met you yesterday but it feels I've known you my whole life" he said his voice didn't have a hint of cockiness just truth "I know I feel that way too" I said I had stopped playing with his hair and smiled at him "your like my uncle in a way" I said "or my dad" I wasn't sure which one he reminded me of "why do you say that?" He said his green eyes looked at me and I looked back down

I placed my hand on his head and the other on his chest "well my dad always had a cocky attitude with my mom he always made her feel loved even when they were arguing which hardly ever happened and when it did they didn't yell at each other they had sat at the kitchen table and talked through it compromising with each other" I say he looked at me with amusement "and my uncle, well he made my aunt feel like a Queen like she was effortlessly beautiful, even when the family was having a bad day as a whole he would take her hand and pull her into a dance and when you watched them you could see the world melting around them, they didn't have a care in the world." I said

"They seem awesome, I hope I can meet your dad someday" he said pushing some hair from my face "that wasn't even the best part of those two" I said he looked at me confused "what was the best part?" He voice sounded eager but yet patient I smiled I loved talking about those two "well, before my uncle passed him and my dad would have a day once a month where they would do special things with me, my dads and uncle were super close and even in the hardest time for me when my cat had died when I was eight, they took me to the farm that my uncle had back at his house and showed me, a small horse that had just been born my uncle said 'we named that one after you' he made sure that when he came to visit he would use that horse to pull his wagon so I could see her" I said

Camilos eyes hadn't left my face for a moment "even when my uncle wasn't around my dad would play games with me and when I was younger he always told me that I can't always win despite having a good nack for games, I learned that more when Lee started living here a month ago. I've been a mediator like my dad but smart like my mom and helped people comprise, I haven't ever been able to do that with abuelo, he's always to stubborn to listen" I say and I look down "what about your tio" he asked

"Well to put it simply my uncle was the best, he new how to fix any situation and when the right time to back away was but he never had to worry about that with me which was probably why he liked me the most, he always wanted to make me happy so he would take me to special places back at his town and made sure I was in fact always happy, and when Lee was born his words to me were 'I'm going to make sure when Lee grows up enough to talk that he knows that you are the best cousin he could ever have' I hadn't stopped smiling that day when I got to hold Lee for the first time" I said tears slipping from my eyes I dropped my head defeated

I then felt Camilo's hands on my cheeks wiping away the tears as quickly as they fell "your tio would be so proud of you, ok?" He said his voice stern but gentle and I cried more "all he wants is for you to be happy so I'm gonna keep up his end of the bargain" he said which made me smile "I truly don't deserve you y/n but we met for a reason and I bet your Tio knew that I was right here looking for the same thing" he said planting a gentle kiss on my quivering lips
