Y/n's pov

I sat in my mama and papas room sitting close to her side of the bed as I watched her sleep I picked up her hand and smiled sadly "I'm going to miss you, mama," I said her hand was warm I stood up when I saw my papa enter the room he looked sad his eyes were red from crying I walked over to him and put my small hands in his bigger ones "Mija you need to get some sleep, I haven't seen you sleep in two weeks." he said rubbing right under my eyes I could feel my eyes start to close but I quickly shook myself awake "I'll try papa" I said he smiled gently at me and I gave him a soft one back. I left their room and went into the kitchen I stood on my tippy toes trying to reach the tea kettle I almost couldn't get it but I managed I poured the water into to kettle and set it on the stove I sat on the living room when I heard the door open I didn't get up my body was numb and my eyes closed and I realized who it was and I flung myself out of the chair "sorry, just resting my eyes" I said as Pepa gave me a sad smile and Camilo walked in his green eye no longer had a bright sparkle but was replaced by red and I felt my heart sink I looked into his eyes as he ran to give me a hug I smiled and hugged him tightly I could feel warm tears on my long-sleeved shirt that id been wearing for a bit I put my hand through is thick curly hair and than on the back of his head as he sobs were filling the room 'did I hurt him this badly?' i asked myself as I almost started to cry

Camilo's Pov

I was crying on her shoulder I couldn't help it I hadn't seen her in what felt like forever I pulled away from the hug slightly still holding her waist and as soon as I look I'm at her she wiped my tears from my eyes I looked at her sadly "Camilo" she said her voice sounded so tired "there's no need to cry, I'm right here now" her gentle voice flooded my hearing and I smiled "never leave like that again!" I said sadly she continued her soft smile I noticed the bags under her eyes I put one of my hands on her face rubbing the bags under her eyes gently and she looked shocked for a minute and then sad. "When was the last time you got some sleep?" I asked a stern tint in my voice as I heard the sound of a tea kettle hinting that the water was done boiling "A while but i made coffee" she said my heart was sinking into my stomach suddenly a cough could be heard from the small room by the stairs Y/n's mom emerged from the door and smiled at me and pepa "Hello Camilo" she said her voice was raspy like when you have a soar throat and can't sound like yourself I felt a sad smile appear on my face I walked over to her and helped her up "thank you young man," she said and I smiled "pepa grabbed her and then pointed at y/n I looked at her and saw her face was sad I let go of her mama and walked up to y/n and placed a gentle hand on her head "let's go up to your room, amor, I need to talk to you," I said she slowly nodded we walked up the stairs and i opened the door for her as she walked in i noticed her room collected some dust like she hadn't slept in it for a while she walked over to her bed and sat down she yawned as she slowly laid down "y/n" I asked softly my brain was running a mile a minute and she replied with "yeah Camilo?" she was sitting up again and i looked at her "are we still together or did me not telling you about your mom end it for us?" I asked I was scared for her reaction she didnt say anything

A couple of seconds later she stood up and walked up to me her baggy half-closed eyes looked into mine and smiled she stood up and put a hand on my cheek and she kissed my lips her soft lips made me feel at home even though I hadn't kissed her in so long it didn't feel any different I put my hands on the side of her neck and she wrapped her arms around my neck as we deepened the kiss I pulled away to get some air, "I hope that answers your question" she says I smiled and moved my arms back around her waist a few minutes passed and I heard soft snores I smiled and set her in her bed tucking her in and kissing her forehead "sleep well, amor," I said and brushed some hair from her face.

I walked down the hall and back down the stairs the kettle wasn't going off anymore thank go that was the most annoying sound I looked in the kitchen to see all the parents huddled and talking with one another "how long do you have?" Mama asked Mrs.Liyne looked down at her hands and so did Mr.Liyne "I have one more week and I am so grateful that you have been my friend pepa she said grabbing my mama's hand I'mm so happy I got to meet your beautiful young man of a son and see my daughter so happy" she said her voice was cracking and I saw my mama start to tear up her face didn't want to admit that the last friend she had growing up who was younger than her was about to pass her eyes were wide and filled with tears I had tears flowing down my face this was a painful thing to happen to the triplets it was painful for me I was so happy to get to meet y/n's parents but I guess the cost of meeting them so soon was that one of them wasn't going to make it "what kind of disease is it?" mama asked as if maybe there would be a way for Julieta to fix it with the food she makes "its a genetic one, my mama god reast her soul died from it at my age" she said and mama's eyes started to cry and with that, I broke tears were flowing down as i walked into the kitchen, i held onto mama's hand as she cried i went and wiped my tears every once and a while "shes gonna miss you" i said her mamas smile had left and a frown replaced it "i know i really don't wanna leave her, but she has you" she says and reaches her hand to mine and pats it "you will protect my Mija at any cost and thats why im happy she picked the finest Madrigal to date and hopefully marry" she said
