Camilo pov

It was a week after her mama passed y/n was still sad but she was getting over it little by little she would make little mini mistakes like saying 'my mama is amazing' it was sad when I see her eyes after she realizes the mistake the small children always either didn't notice, now we were at my house setting up for her family to come and eat dinner with mine Abuela was so happy to see her "Y/n!" she said as we walked in the Casita Abuela came over and gave her a hug and y/n giggled "hello Abuela" she said with a genuine smile plastered on her lips "I'm sorry about your mom dear" Abuela and I see her smile disappear from her face for a second then reappear I was sad that she was trying to hide her sadness but I could understand as the three of us walked through Casita Y/n grabbed my hand I smiled and intertwined our fingers. We got to the kitchen and there was Mirbel and Andrew flirting with each other when Abuela cleared her throat they stopped and looked back at us they both blushed and looked away from each other I looked at y/n and her mouth was wide open and her eyes looked like they were going to pop out I laughed and she snapped out of it "you cousin is flirting with my cousin!" I yelled and he smiled "yeah I know I can see that," I said my voice low as I gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead she smiled "Ewww" the other to said I looked over switched into Mirabel, and then mimicked her "enough you four!" Abuela yells from the kitchen I switched back and stuck my tongue out at her, I stopped when I was pulled into a kiss by Y/n which made my heart flutter like a million butterflies when she pulled away I smiled at her I booped her nose before leaving to help set up with the food

(an hour later)

We were sitting down at the dinner table Mariano next to Dolores together, Y/n next to me, isabella next to Luisa, y/n's papa sat next to my mama and papa, Antonio sat in between Lee and Kayden, Mirabel next to Andrew, Tarence next to Kaytlyn, my tia and tio sat next to each other with big smiles on their faces, and tio Bruno and Abuela sat at the end of the table. I held onto Y/n's hand as people started serving themselves "Camilo" she says in a hushed tone closer to my ear "yeah?" she squeezed my hand and I smiled "I love you, thank you for being here for me when I needed you" she said her soft voice rang throughout my ears and I gave her a sweet smile and kissed her cheek "forever mi amor" I said back, she looked at me than let go of my hand as the serving bowls came to us I put some Aperas on my plate my papa cleared his throat and I rolled my eyes passing the food to Y/n who skipped the bowl and passed it to her younger brother "so how's the family doing?" Bruno asked his sad voice filling the awkward silence "we're surviving" Aaron said and the rest of the Liyne family giggled a little except for y/n I looked at her but she didn't look at me. She pushed her chair away from the table, she was now standing I tried to grab her arm "Mija it was just a joke" her papa said back at her "A joke? Mama's been gone a week and you wanna joke about it?" she said tears in her eyes but her voice very violent as if she was going to break every bone in her papa's body for the joke "Mija sit down, Now." he said sternly she grabbed her plate "id rather go eat with the donkeys" she said as she walked out I looked at her papa and than at mine and he nodded I quickly got up and pushed in y/ns chair and mine before dashing out looking for Y/n was the difficult part she had a gift for blending in, I looked in my room... nothing, looked in everyone else's rooms... nothing than I remember what she said I looked outside next to the donkey pen and there she was eating her food "Mi amor?" I asked and she looked at me with tears no longer in her eyes just anger "sorry I thought you were my papa" she said as her face softened I sat next to her and grabbed her plate sitting beside me "how can he just joke about it like that?" she asked I didn't know how to respond

I looked down and then back at her "I don't know amor" I said and she plopped herself on my lap her legs resting on the ground beside both of mine, her head layed on my shoulder as I grabbed her waist "I don't like that he jokes like this its not always funny and then her tries to get all strict more on me" she said and I frowned into her words "at least I have you" she said her body that was once tense was now very relaxed and I smiled "at least you get to spend the night with me" I said and she looked at me now fully sitting on my lap her golden e/c were so pretty they were golden because of the setting sun that sat in the background and it was just amazing to see her like that "that's true too" she said and I smiled her smile then reappeared and suddenly kids rush over towards us "Camilo, Y/n!" they yelled "when are you getting married?" they asked and I smiled then looked at her. She had a fine blush on her cheeks "as soon as I'm old enough" i said and they looked at me and smiled "well i wanna be an aunty!" one of the kids said and me and y/n smiled as they argued i pulled her into a kiss "promise on those words Madrigal" she asked and I smiled "of course, in a couple years your going to be Y/n Madrgal" I said and the kids whispered an 'awe' before i kissed her one more time
