It's been a week since Camilo was over and I was sitting on my bed bored he had busy with family stuff and chores so despite my efforts to go out and find in out in town, I had failed miserably it almost felt like he was avoiding me but I didn't let that bother me as I was cooking lunch for Lee and myself I heard a knock which for my luck was right after I had put food on plates "lunch is ready Lee!" I shouted from downstairs and went to open the door it was Mirabel "Y/n I need your help" she said inviting herself inside I looked at her and sighed "ok what's up?" I asked

She sat down at the table in the kitchen "The house has been getting cracks but every time I see them Abuela says that I'm crazy, well not really" she says "and what do you want me to do about it?" I asked making another serving of food for Mirabel "well I need your help breaking into my Tío's tower so I can see what's wrong with the magic" I was so shocked that I forgot to watch where my hand stood and burned my finger "fuck" I said quietly to myself I leaned over into the drawer pulling out a small bowl and rushed to the sink to fill it with cold water bad put my finger in "ah much better" I said looking back at Mirabel "look i dont know what you expect me to do" I say "I need you to be with me no one else believes me" her voice sounded desperate and sad

"I don't know if I believe you" I said bluntly "please y/n, you won't regret this is promise" she said and I sighed and nodded "alright let's go!" She said "hold on, I have to tell Andrew" I said and she nodded I walk upstairs and nocked on his door he answered really fast "hey what's up" he looked at me and then my hand he quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me into his room pulling out a bandage and covering my finger "there, now how can I help you" he asked and smiled "can you watch Lee, Mirabel needs my help with something" I asked and he smiled "yeah I can" he said and lead me out of his room "thank you Andy" I said running down the stairs "alright I'm ready"

She gave a weird look "what?" I asked "are you going to wear that?" She asked pointing to my apron I giggled out of embarrassment and took it off, she smiled and then lead me out the door. As we walked she was talking about how she was worried about the magic and I nodded to everything I was listening I was just to lazy to give a verbal response, we had reached Casita and I waved and the house waved back "let's go!" She said exited and I looked at her like she was crazy "oh hang on we should stop by my mama so she can heal your finger" she said and I smiled "that sounds like a plan" I said

We reached the kitchen and her mama had been making some salad "what's that for?" I asked "oh we have a family dinner tonight that your gonna be staying for" Mirabel said I looked at her in shock "I never-" "to bad" she said cutting me off her mom turned around and smiled "Hola, y/n" she said "can I help you?" She continues and I show her my hand "oh dear, let me grab something" she said reaching to some of her food "this is from breakfast but it should help she handed me the food and I smile "thank you" I said eating it and sighed in relief when the burning sensation had left

Suddenly I felt someone grab my hand I turned around quickly "we'll hello Amor, what brings you here" he whispers in my ear "Camilo!" I yelled and pushed his face away "awe" he said Mirabel and her mom laughed and then he saw my hand still bandaged "did he do that?" He asked anger coating his voice as I ate the food I shook my head and pointed to Mirabel "hey I didn't do anything" she looked terrified "I was distracted while cooking and I burned myself" I said finishing up the food Abuela had walked in and smiled "good afternoon y/n" she said I waved "Julieta I'm going to the Guzman's for Isabellas engagement" she said fixing her earringsc hugs

I rolled my eyes "alright mama, I'll see you for dinner" Julieta said and waved her mom goodbye Mirabel, Camilo and I walked out as well "so real question mi amor" he said and looked at me his eyes gentle my nerves got to me "so how have you been" I said putting my hand on his face and pushing him away but he only moved closer till his breath was on my ear "Oh are you nervous amor?~" his cocky voice echoed through my head and I went stiff I couldn't move if my life depended on it "awe I broke you again" he said planting a small kiss on my lips and backing away I looked at Mirabel and she just smiled awkwardly "soooo" she said grabbing my arm "time to go?" Before I got a chance to speak I was being dragged upstairs

We got to the Nursery aka Mirabel's room and she squealed "oh my god, you and Camilo make the perfect couple!" She said grabbing my shoulders and shaking me furiously I looked at her when she stopped but my bison was blurry "ok ok, time to focus" she said as we snuck to Bruno's room "I hope your not stupid enough to get cought" I said making it very clear whatever happened was on her "right" she said as we opened the dimly lit door we noticed an hour glass shape door way that had an almost endless amount of sand pouring down "Casita can you turn off the sand?" She asked Casita made clanking noises from outside the door

"How the fuck can this girl talk to a house?" I asked in my head but brushed it off "you can't help us in here?" She asked and I frowned "well that only means one thing" I said and went back to the door "hey your not-" "no I'm not leaving" I said and ran straight threw the sand
