Luna said some type of weird spell, and I felt like I was getting smaller and my memory was getting shorter.

"Goodbye Jamie." was the last thing I heard before turning into darkness.

Chapter 12

I was just sitting in my small kitchen, reading the Daily Prophet, drinking a cup of hot chocolate. All of a sudden, a light in the form of a Phoenix appeared.

"Come to my office as quickly as you can. I have important news." It said. I sighed, standing up and folded the newspaper and put it on the table. I took one last sip of the hot chocolate and apparated to Hogsmeade.

"Expecto Patronum." I said softly and calmly. A wolf appeared in the light and I said my message. "I am walking up to the castle from Hogsmeade at the moment. Please meet me at the entrance hall." and the light disappeared.

I continued my walk to the castle, ignoring the odd looks from older students sitting around. As I walked, I wondered what Dumbledore needed so urgently. It wasn't like him to call someone, especially me, at a random time. It was only September 5th.

I finally reached the entrance hall doors, and they opened almost immediately. "I'm glad you have arrived Remus. I have important news for you and Severus." Dumbledore said to me once I got inside.

"Severus? What has to do with Severus and I? Surely nothing to do with Sirius?" I questioned. The old headmaster just shook his head and motioned for me to follow him.

We reached his office, occasionally getting off stares from students, and a few whispers here and there.

"I hope you are well, Remus?" Dumbledore said, trying to make small conversation while we waited for Severus.

"Well, considering the full moon just passed, I'm doing pretty well." I replied, not exactly wanting to talk. I wanted to get this over with, so I could go back to relaxing before going to find more jobs.

Just then, before Dumbledore could make up more questions to ask, Severus walked in. But I also saw something -or someone- move in the corner of the room.

"Now that the both of you are here —oh, have a seat" Dumbledore started, and we obeyed.

"The both of you remember Michaela and Sirius getting together, correct?" We nodded. I remembered Michaela very well, because although she was Snape's twin sister, she was placed in Gryffindor and was a great friend of ours, as well as James' sister Raelyn and Lily Potter (Evans). She and Sirius had gotten pretty close, and they had a baby —a girl— and, well, that's all I remember. Raelyn had disappeared off the face of the Earth for all I know.

"Well, Michaela and Sirius had a baby girl. This girl was sent to the future and given a new name. The both of you were named her godfathers, and Lily Potter and Raelyn Potter were named her godmothers. And, she has the key to our survival. She knows how to make Voldemort completely destroyed and how to save our future.

"She was named Jamie Michaela and when she turns 12 years old, she will remember everything that happened in the future. Her memories will come in nightmare forms and—" Dumbledore explained, but I cut him off.

"Like-Like Raelyn had? Is Raelyn the same way?" I asked, upset that Raelyn wouldn't share something like this to me.

"Yes, Raelyn and Jamie were extremely good friends in the future. Raelyn wanted to keep this a secret, seeing as she was brought here so Jamie was not alone. Although they were sent to different times, that's what the people that sent them thought was best.

"Jamie? You can come out now." Dumbledore finished. I looked over to where the man was sitting, and a small girl with short, dark blonde hair came over nervously.

"Remus, Severus, this is your goddaughter, Jamie. It will be up to the both of you to decide where she lives. I have some matters to attend to, so please avoid yelling or fighting." The old man just walked out after that.

The three of us stood there in silence for a few moments, when I finally spoke up.

"I can't take care of her at the end of the month."

"Well I can't exactly watch her while I am teaching."

"Alright, heres an idea. I will take care of her during the school year and you during the summer. On full moons, I'll take her up to the castle a day or two before and get her a few days after. Fair?" I thought it was a pretty well thought out deal.

"Fair enough. So you will start with her for now, seeing as the full moon was last week?"

"Yes. I will see you at the end of the month."

"Goodbye. Lupin."

"Goodbye. Snape."

And he walked out of the room.

"Come on now, Jamie. You're going to come home with me for a few weeks." I said kindly to the girl. She smiled.

"Good. I didn't want the mean guy to take me." she said in her 4-year-old little voice.

I laughed a bit. "Come on. We can talk at home." She nodded and grabbed a trunk the size of a keychain.

"That has all of your things?" I asked her doubtingly as we walked through the halls. Most of the students were in classes now.

"Yeah. Professor shrunk it so it was easier for me to carry it" she replied.

Once we got down to Hogsmeade, I told her to hold onto my hand tightly and disapparated.

A/N:

Hi.

I'm at my grandpas at the moment after my grandmas funeral.

And I'm really bored.

Which is why I finished this chapter.

Not that I don't like writing.

But I have nothing else to do.

And I read all the stories in my library.

Okey bye now
