Chapter 22
"What's wrong with the newspaper? And don't think I've noticed you and Remus have cancelled my subscriptions. And now they won't let me re-subscribe!" I exclaimed, making him jump a bit from my outburst.
"T-There's nothing wrong with the newspaper. Nothing at all. I had absolutely nothing to do with canceling your subscriptions." He said, stumbling on his words, which is a tell tale he's lying.
"Hmm. Well, when you're ready to tell me, let me know." I said, stomping off with my toast.
"If only she knew what we're keeping from her." I heard Severus whisper before I left his quarters.
I wandered around the castle for a little while, slowly eating my toast. Most of the students were leaving today, and were either packing, in their common rooms, or finishing breakfast in the Great Hall.
Of course, one person I didn't particularly like was roaming the halls as well. And I had gotten inside information from people *cough* Ron and Harry *cough* about a certain blonde prat.
And I, a master of falling, tripped into this blonde prat.
"I'm so sorry, I tend to be - oh, never mind." I said as he helped me up.
"What do you mean, never mind?" he asked, looking down at me slightly.
"I don't like you." I stated bluntly. The look of surprise on his face was absolutely priceless. I remembered how I used to absolutely love him when I read the books, but now that I have actually met him (when I was little and still liked uncle Severus) he is a big prat, like Harry thought he was.
"Have we met before? I don't seem to remember you at all."
"When we were younger. The name's Jamie Evans. Your father and my uncle were, um, colleagues for a while."
"Draco Malfoy." we shook hands (I scrunched my nose in disgust on the inside). "Oh, you're Snape's niece or something? And you're friends with Potter and Matthews." he said the last part with disdain, as if he realized I was poop on the bottom of his shoe.
"Yes. Yes I am. Your Defense teacher, Professor Lupin, is also my godfather." the look on his face was filled with disgust, and he stomped away with his nose in the air.
I was childish and stuck my tongue out at his retreating figure. Then I ran away laughing.
----------------
A little while later, I started getting hungry (it was probably around lunchtime and I only had a piece of toast) so I walked down to the kitchens (which I had discovered a few years ago).
After I tickled the pear in the portrait (the entrance... So weird Hogwarts is... Durmstrang's kitchen entrance is to tap a suit of armor and crawl through a tunnel, tall enough for a house elf, but wide enough for two elephants) I walked in, and was greeted by a bunch of elves, that I didn't even get the names of.
"Can I just have a peanut butter sandwich on toast?" I asked the closest one, who nodded and ran off with the rest of them.
"That's all you're getting?" a male voice said from behind me.
"We usually get a bunch of sweets from here." Another said. I whipped around, and saw two boys only a few years older than me, identical to each other.
"I don't usually get a lot. I come down here often enough though to get sweets." I replied, looking at them suspiciously. "And who are you?"
"I'm Fred - " the one on the left said. He had slightly more freckles and leaned more on his left than the other boy.
"And I'm George - " The other continued. I studied them both, and jumped back when they shouted together,
"We are the Weasley Twins, amazing pranksters at your service." I laughed and nodded. A house elf brought my sandwich out on a plate, with a cup of apple juice (that I didn't ask for, but thank Merlin they didn't give me pumpkin).
"Here you go, Mistress Snape." the elf said. I looked at it (or him?) shocked.
"My last name is Evans, not Snape." I told him. He nodded and ran away, probably to prepare lunch for whoever stayed at school. I directed my next words to the twins, "I'm Jamie Evans by the way."
"Are you related to Snape, seeing as they called you 'Mistress Snape'?" Fred asked. I nodded slowly as we walked to one of the tables. It literally looked like a restaurant, the way the tables were set up. There was also the five long table, mirroring the house tables and teacher's table/
"Well, yes. He's my uncle." I told them, kind of unsure on how they would re-act. "And Remus Lupin is my godfather."
"Blimey. Well, so far you don't seem to bad. Though, if you grew up with Lupin also, you shouldn't be bad at all." George said, sipping his mug of butterbeer.
"Don't judge a person on their family. Most can't help it." I said.
The three of us talked for a while, and some time in the middle, the twin's friend Lee Jordan came in and talked with us for a while. I happened to look at the clock, and it was 3:47. Oh Merlin...
"I would absolutely love to stay some more guys," I said, interrupting the short silence we lapsed into. "But, it's almost 4, and I really should find one of my guardians." They looked a bit disspointed, but realized Sev is my uncle and pushed me out the door (or portrait, whichever).
I wandered about the castle (again), in search of my dear uncle, or my dear godfather. I love them both, but I am so going to get a lecture when I do come across them.
"JAMIE MICHAELA!" I heard two males shout from behind me.
"Welp. I'm in some deep shit." I muttered to myself.
A/N:
Hello.
I updated again.
Ummmm...
I had an idea for an original story, and it's kinda like a teen-fiction romance thing.
Should I post a teaser or should I wait until I feel like posting it??
I would really love some feedback on that idea...
I ALSO JUST WATCHED MEAN GIRLS 2 AND EXPELLED AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!
Anyways here's some more info I need;
So, I know Jamie's still only 13, but OOTP is coming up soon, and I'm still debating on whether I should bring Raelyn in 4th year or 5th.
Please please please pleaseeeee let me know what you think in the comments.
