Avoid.... Everything

Lena walked past the choir room as Blaine sang "Don't Stop Me Now" she looked in and saw Kara singing along and having fun. She looked down and kept walking down the hall.

Kara saw her walk away and felt the urge to chase after her but Blaine kept singing around the room. She stopped looking and kept having fun, however she continued to glance at the door every so often.

Lena couldn't even bring herself to walk by the choir room anymore, not anymore after seeing Kara sing that romantic song. She knew that what she was feeling was jealousy, she was jealous of Jake. She knew why, she just couldn't bring herself to say it.

She could admit that the way she felt was real and she always knew it was true. She's never denied it until what happened last time. But right now she just couldn't admit the way she felt about her.

'I should hang out with Ryder again, it seems suspicious that we haven't had a date in like a day.' She groaned, 'Is this the only way to avoid her? I feel like there could be better ways than this. I have to date Ryder who is clearly in love with Kara but decides not to show it and I have to be friends with Kitty. This is just great, and Valentine's day is next week. I don't think I could do anything that day. God, I hope there's nothing happening.'

Lena stood at her locker thinking of what she was forcing herself to do when Ryder walked over and leaned against the locker next to hers.

"Hi," he smiled.

"Hello."

"So, Mr. Shue's wedding next week and I got a plus one so I was wondering if you wanted to go with me?" He asked her, she stared into her locker.

'This is what I get, I jinxed myself.' She thought to herself.

"Yes, I would love to." She looks over smiling.

"Great! By the way, it's on Valentine's day." He smiles before kissing her cheek and walking away to catch up with Jake and Kara walking past them.

'Valentine's. My luck has never been so low.' She slammed her locker and went off to class.

"Hey, wait up!" Ryder yells.

"Hey, Ryder," Jake says.

"I just invited Lena to Mr. Shue's wedding." He says proudly.

"What?! Why!" Kara says, stopping the group, looking over at him.

"Because we're dating?" He says.

"Oh. That's right, I'm sorry. I didn't mean–" Kara says before Jake interjects.

"She was just on edge because we are behind for regionals."

"No, it's fine," Ryder says, they resume walking and each goes to their respective classes.

All Kara can think about is if Lena liked her then why is she dating Ryder and why is she going with him to the wedding. She couldn't figure out why Lena was acting like this.

Friday

Lena walked out to lunch and sat at a table outside, she tried to enjoy her lunch until she heard a commotion. She looked up from her food and saw all of the glee boys sitting at and around one table when Tina walked over in a pink leotard with a boombox.

She started singing "Hung Up '' all around the stairs in the main court. A group of students joined in and danced with her, the entire glee club cheered her on as she sang and showed how much of a Diva she really is.

Halfway through the song, the students held up cardboard signs, and a few moments later, Tina had changed into a leather outfit.

"I never knew she was such a diva," Kitty said to Lena sitting down next to her.

"I think she always was, she just needed the chance to show it." Lena smiled looking at Tina as she finished the song and walked down to the group.

Tina walked over to them and looked at Lena at the other table and winked at her and smiled slightly. Lena caught it and looked down to continue eating her food.

After School

"Winning dinner for two at Red Rooster Express Suites..." Ms. Pillsbury says to the glee club.

"The First Annual William McKinley High School Diva Award goes to..." Finn announces.

Tina turns to Lena, "If it's Santana, I swear–" She gets cut off by Finn doing a drum roll.

"Tina Cohen-Chang!" Both Finn and Ms. Pillsbury say. Multiple people launch glitter around the room celebrating. Tina gets up and walks over to Finn to retrieve her trophy with everyone cheering.

Everyone went home for the day, but Lena stayed there to finish some work in the library. A few hours went by, and she got her work done so she headed home. She would take the hallway past Ms. Pillsbury's office because there was a shortcut through there so she could get to her car faster.

She walked past and she saw Finn trying to comfort Emma Pillsbury because she was stressing about the wedding that she had to plan all by herself with Will away in DC. She started throwing things in the trash when Finn grabbed her by the arms.

"Emma, Emma. Stop, Stop." He leaned and put his hands on her cheeks and without a second thought, he kissed her for a moment. He pulled away and dropped his hands, he walked out and swiftly left leaving Emma to stand there in disbelief.

Lena watched it all unfold, she headed back the other way not trying to be seen.
