"So how long have you and Kara been friends?" Alex asked, recognizing her name.

"A few weeks, why do you ask?" Lena asks, sitting next to her by the window in Kara and Lena's childhood bedroom.

"There's just someone that Kara's known for the same amount of time. She won't stop talking about them, if I didn't know better then I would think that she has a crush on them." Alex says teasing her and messing with Kara.

"Oh okay," Lena says, looking away to hide the pink blush growing on her face.

"So you and my sister are good friends?"

"Yeah, I would think so."

"Me too, enough to trust you with her secret. If she trusts you, then you better not give me a reason not to."

"Got it, I won't." Lena forces a smile.

"If you ever hurt her heart or her, then I will kill you," Alex says.

"Don't worry, I think I ever could even if I wanted to." Lena looks over at the sleeping Kara.

"Good, I'm going to get some more tea. Would you like some?"

"No, thank you. I'm good, Alex." Lena smiles, Alex leaves the room. Lena watched the door close leaving a small opening and pulled a chair up to Kara's bed and set down her hand next to her.

"I know you'll be okay, you'll be okay," Lena says, trying to convince herself. She doesn't know what this could do to her, but it seems like Alex seems to know.

Eliza stood in the slightly open doorframe watching Lena watch over her daughter, she smiled at the way Lena sat and looked at her. She could tell that there was something between them, she just couldn't figure out if Kara and Lena could see it too. She thought they might, but Kara is still dating Jake, and Lena sits there not moving any closer.

She stepped away as Alex was walking back, she placed her arm on her shoulder and motioned her head downstairs.

"Let her stay there. Alone." Eliza whisper-told her and dragged her before she could talk.

Back with Kara and Lena, Kara seemed to start to wake up but she didn't open her eyes. Her hand searched for the presence that she could feel that was there.

"Are you here?" Kara asked, Lena thought she shouldn't answer so she stayed silent and moved her hand to Kara's.

"Thank Rao, you're okay. Don't leave me, I need you. Please just stay here." Kara said, holding her hand in hers.

'Of course, always.' Lena thought to herself. Lena assumed that Kara was under the impression that she was talking about Jake and she could feel her heart drop slightly when Kara started talking again.

"When we first met, I knew that you would be in my life forever. I had to do everything to keep you here and my family kept telling me that it would never work. They knew who you were and they were scared for me. But I knew that you would never hurt me, they thought we were too different. But I could feel that we are perfect, but there's one big problem ...." Kara trailed off. She drifted back to sleep with her hand still holding Lena's.

Many times for the next hour, she would go in and out of consciousness and say something or do something then go back to sleep. She never once opened her eyes.

Another hour passed and Lena stayed with her, she couldn't bring herself to leave her. She was tempted when she could feel her eyes start to close but she looked at the beautiful blonde woman in front of her and she knew that she couldn't leave.

Kara looked to be awake and opened her eyes, she looked straight at Lena.

"Are you really here?" She said, holding out her hand trying to feel her face. Lena simply nodded, but Kara couldn't quite make out the features of her face except for her tired expressions.
