**TW MENTIONS OF GUNS AND BOMBS BRIEFLY**
There's a scene here where it talks about a gunshot occurring on school grounds, as well as bombs. It is brief, but if it is triggering, please skip it. It is not entirely needed for the story except to show that a person doesn't trust Kara. That's all I'll say, but please skip it if you need to. Remember, this is a work of fiction, and it is not worth risking anyone's mental health over.
I might be a little overdramatic here, but I wanted to warn everyone, and I have updated the tags accordingly.

"So I said that I'd see you tomorrow, so here I am," Kara said, bouncing on the balls of her heels after walking up to Lena at her locker.
The open locker door was covering her face, but Kara knew exactly who it was. She'd know that heartbeat anywhere, and she made it a point to be able to pick it out of a crowd. Lena slowly shut it and smiled brightly at Kara. "Yes, so here you are, and I am so glad you're here." Lena leaned her side against the lockers, looking up at Kara.
"You are?"
"Yes, definitely. I have been waiting to finish our conversation." Lena smirked, feeling at peace and wanting to make Kara nervous.
"You have? Eager, are we?" Kara asked, echoing Lena's words from the night before. It made Lena's face flush with heat. Kara leaned against the lockers, too, to get them to the same angle.
"How do you want me to answer that?" Lena knew that this was a battle and she was losing, but she could turn it around.
"Honestly. As honestly as you can." Kara is not backing down, and Lena knows it.
A smile played on her lips. She leaned up to Kara's ear and whispered. "I haven't stopped thinking about what I want to do to you since I saw you in that science room." Before she pulled away, she knew she could risk it, she placed a chaste kiss just under Kara's ear.
Kara's face grew red as her breath hitched. She has now fully forgotten how to breathe, staring into Lena's eyes. Lena could see the way Kara wanted nothing more than to kiss her right here, right now.
And Lena has won.
Kara's eyes were blown wide, taking in every inch of the woman in front of her. There was nothing left in her mind except for the memory of how Lena tasted. "I–we—wow. I think," she took a breath as Lena pulled away from her, and it snapped her back to life. "I-I think it's a shame we're at school."
"Damn shame." Lena smiled up at her; Lena could not stop winning the battle when Kara leaned ever so slightly forward. It was so small that no one else would've noticed, but Lena definitely did.
She put a hand on Kara's chest to stop her from moving closer, even though she wanted to grab her by her shirt and pull her in.
"I'm not sure you want everyone to know about us just yet, seeing as you and Jake just broke up," Lena spoke softly, hating herself for stopping her and for being the voice of reason.
Kara sighed and closed her eyes; she was right. "I know you're right, but you and I both know that was over a long time ago."
"Was it now?" Lena joked. "And both of us? I'm pretty sure that was one-sided. I was still under the impression you loved Jake until last week." A smile played on her lips.
"Okay, okay, I knew it was over. I just got into this bad habit of mixing up platonic and romantic love, so it took me a minute, but we finally got here." Kara reached down to grab one of Lena's hands to draw smooth circles over her knuckles with her thumb.
