Truth Time

"Hello, William." She says walking in with papers in her hands.

"Hello, Sue. Is there a reason why you're interrupting?" Mr. Shue asks crossing his arms.

"Yes, in fact, I have some new information about the new batch of kids."

"Sue, look this is entirely unprofessional. You had enough of terrorizing us the last three years." Finn tries to defend.

"I have not had enough, not until glee is over. So first up, Unique, or should I say, Wade? You were previously on Vocal Adrenaline." Sue points at her, but she looks at her.

"Everyone already knew this." She says, "I have nothing to hide."

"Okay, well Jake. Did you know that you are Puck's half-brother and Jewish?!" She accused.

"Yeah, I even have a tattoo of the Star of David on my arm." He lifts up his left sleeve to show his tattoo, "I got matching ones with Puck."

"Becky didn't do her work and she will pay for this."

"I did! You just said to get information, that's what I did." Becky says from outside the door throwing her hands up and walking away.

"I didn't know you were there, anyways. Kitty is nothing. I'm not going to say anything bad about my cheerios. I need to win another championship. Next is Ryder, he is dyslexic."

"I didn't feel the need to tell anyone about that except for Finn but thanks for sharing." He says uncomfortably shifting in his chair at the back of the class next to Lena.

"At least one win, now to your little girlfriend Lena." She looked over at the coach standing there in her scary red tracksuit.

"Lena is none other than the sister of the infamous madman Lex Luthor." Everyone turned to face her except Kara, she looked down with an angry look on her face, she readjusted her glasses.

"Lena, is that true?" Mr. Shue asked her. She looked around at everyone then back at Sue who had her arms crossed.

"I-I." That was what she could say before Kara stood and spoke up.

"Why do you have to be so mean all the time? All you do is yell and demean us all and spread lies, so what if everything you said is true. Lena might be related to Lex, but Luthor is a common name. It proves nothing that they have similar last names. Do you think Carol Danvers from Marvel comics is my sister because of the same last name? No, because Danvers is common, like Luthor, like every name ever. There are so many, it proves absolutely nothing." Kara told her, Sue stood there in awe of the shy girl who would hang her head low and never talk, she turned into a woman that knew how to speak her mind and stand up for everyone.

"Miss Danvers, wow. I did not think you had that in you. I'm proud." Sue says slow clapping.

"I don't care what you think. You need to stop belittling us and actually coach a winning cheer team. That is your whole job. Go do it because I can see it in the cheer routines at the games."

"Kara," Mr. Shue says, trying to get her to stop.

"All you are is mean and you don't know how to be a real person except for a villain that everyone hates."

"Kara! This is disrespectful behavior." Mr. Shue says.

"No, it's fine Butt Chin. Why don't we talk about you now? Hmm." Sue questions walking closer to her, "Why don't I reveal a major secret of yours?"

'Oh Rao, please no.' Kara thinks to herself with her face showing a frightened look.

"I see you're scared," She pushes past her and faces the class, Kara turns to face the class with a defeated look. "Did you all know that Kara Danvers is?" She pauses for dramatic effect looking around the room.

Lena looks over at Kara knowing that her whole life could come crumbling down in an instant. Lena tries to think of whatever she can to stop Sue from talking.

In unison, Sue and Lena talk over each other but not enough. Everyone could hear both sides.

"Shut up, you're just a bitch!" Lena yells at her as Sue finishes her sentence.

"She is pansexual!" Sue says as she hears Lena's shout.

"Lena! Principal's office now!" Mr. Shue yells. Lena looks over at Kara who returns mouthing the words "Thank you."

"Kara, you're pan?" Artie asks.

"I, what?" She looks at him confused.

"Sue said that, are you?" Ryder questioned.

"I don't have anything to hide, I just didn't want to tell you," Kara explains.

"Why not?" Brittany asks.

"She doesn't need to explain, she had her reasons," Jake says, defending her and going to her side. They walk out holding hands and walk down the hallway far enough from the choir room so no one can hear them.

"Thank you for helping me back there," Kara says to him, releasing a breath she didn't know she had.

"Kara, that's not what I was doing. I pulled you out so I could talk to you." He says facing her.

"About what?" She asked him as he let go of her hand.

"Why didn't you tell me you were pan?"

"I just told you all. I didn't want to tell you, it's my secret to keep and I can tell whoever I want." Kara defends.

"Did you tell Lena? Is that why she called Sue a bitch?"

"No, Lena doesn't know. I don't know why she said that." Kara covers.

"Why were you both protecting each other like that, with her last name and your sexuality?"

"That's what friends are for," Kara said, looking past him at Lena finally finding her way to the Principal's office. Lena looked over and saw Kara, she smiled at her making Kara blush.

"Why are you blushing?" Jake asked just loud enough for Lena to hear.

"What? I'm not." She lied fixing her glasses.

"Do you like Lena? Now that I know you can, I can't trust you." He told her, looking her up and down with a disgusted face but with a sullied heart.

"No, I don't. She's just a friend. I'm her only friend here, we are more alike than you think."

"I'm your boyfriend, why didn't you tell me about this, I don't know if." He paused.

"If what?"

"This," He motioned to the both of them, "should continue."

"Jake, just please let me explain or just think about it please." She half-begged him.

"I don't know, I just can't see you right now." He walked away from her, leaving her in awe of what happened. She didn't know if she should be sad, mad, or calm. Calm, the same way with Kenny, the same when her parents sent her away, or the same way she felt when she arrived here and her cousin gave her up.
