March came and brought with it the typical weather and the typical work but this March was special. This march also brought baby Alan into Alice and Alfred's life. It was the nearing end of the month and Alan had been at home for a week. Alice and Alfred were adjusting to parenthood well and they loved life with their new son. When Alice and Alfred found out that they were going to have a baby of course they'd been nervous at first, unsure of what to expect about life with a baby, but after talking things over the couple became so excited to become parents. Alice had just gotten Alan to go to sleep that night and was heading to bed when Alfred took her hand. "Come read with me love" He said gently. "Of course" Alice smiled. The couple curled up together on the couch and opened up their well-loved copy of "Alice in Wonderland." The two read aloud as they always did for a while. When they got to the tea party Alice paused and turned to Alfred. "Alfie, I just realized something." She smiled. "What?" Alfred smiled back. "We've been calling Alan our baby bunny when really we should be calling him the march hare." Alice grinned. "Because he was born in march!" Alfred chuckled and kissed Alice's forehead. "I can't wait until he's a little older so we can read this to him." Alfred smiled. "It's thanks to this book that we met, and now it's thanks to this book that we have our son" Alice kissed her husband and smiled. "I love you my white rabbit" Alfred kissed Alice's forehead again. "And I love you my Alice."
