Y/N: Surprisingly, death didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. But I'd still rather die than experience dying again...

Death: And you're telling me that with a straight face while choosing to be reborn..? You do realize that you're bound to die again eventually, right?

I was in some type of Purgatory, sitting on a couch across from the Grim Reaper himself. He was a lot more hospitable than stories would believe you to lead. Death had given me 2 choices. Proceed to the afterlife, or be reborn and isekai'd into an anime.

Y/N: We'll see about that.

**If I can find some way to gain immortality in my second life, then I won't have to worry about that.**

Death: Alright then, final chance to change your mind. The afterlife isn't that bad, you know.

Y/N: I'll choose reincarnation. Now as for which anime-

**What are some good choices? If I pick a Shonen, I'll probably have u tapped potential or some crazy abilities. But I need to be careful what Shonen I pick... I can't go to Dragon Ball or anything, because even the main characters die there... Maybe I should choose Pokemon? That seems relatively safe. No! Pokemon is a lot more dangerous if the rules of the games apply... Think, Y/N!**

Death: -See you next time, then. Bye.

Y/N: Wait, I didn't even choose!

He tapped his scythe on the ground and I passed out. When I came to, I had my head down on a desk. I remembered that I was reborn, but I was still a little shakey as I sat up. I was in a classroom and my desk was right next to a window.

**A seat next to a window? Sleeping in class with nobody trying to wake me up? I've got to be the Main Character!**

I got up and headed for the door to leave. The teacher stopped their lesson and everybody watched me as I prepared to leave.

Teacher: Mr/Mrs. Y/N, where do you think you're going?

**Yeah, where am I going?**

Y/N: I've really got to use the bathroom, sir.

Teacher: Hurry up.

He went back to teaching as I left the room. Of course, I didn't actually need to use the bathroom. I made my way to a back exit and left the school. I made my way to a park where I sat down on a bench. I looked around expecting to see something that stood out so I could tell where I was. Nothing really gave away my location, though. It seemed like any regular city. I walked around for a couple of hours trying to figure out where I was before realizing school had ended and I was getting a phone call. It was from someone named Raiha who it seemed was my little sister. I picked up.

Raiha: Y/N!

**Is this my actual sister, or just one of those girls who I'm close to?**

Y/N: H-hey. What's up?

Raiha: Dad told me to make sure you didn't forget that you started that part-time tutoring job today!

I didn't question it because I had no clue what I was supposed to be doing here. I guess a tutoring job is what I needed to push the story forward.

Raiha: I'm sending you the address and stuff right now! Good luck! You'll pay off our debt in no time! I'm proud to be your little sister!

Y/N: Now isn't that just sweet?

Raiha: What was that? I didn't hear you.

Y/N: Nothing. Thanks for reminding me, let your big sibling handle it from here.
