I was at the Quints' home for a tutoring session. Everybody could make it aside from Ichika.
Y/N: I had hoped everybody would be able to come, but, what can you do? I'll catch up with Ichika some other time.
They began going over their practice tests. I was still frustrated with what Takeda tried to pull a couple of weeks ago.
Itsuki: What's the matter, Y/N?
Y/N: Hm?
Itsuki: You look mad.
Miku: Did something happen?
**Yes.**
Y/N: No. I'm okay, just keep working. The National Mock Exams are approaching, so we're gonna get you girls ready.
Nino leaned over and held her paper out to me.
Nino: Here, check my answers, Y-kun.
Miku came over and got in her way.
Miku: I've finished, too.
Nino: You're in the way.
Miku: How?
Nino: Huh?!
Yotsuba: These mock exams sure are difficult, huh?
Itsuki: You're right. But it's like I'm not feeling all that worried about it.
Yotsuba: I know right?!
Miku: Yeah, I mean we've managed to triumph over that final exam.
Nino: It's a hurdle that we've already overcome, so it's no big deal.
Yotsuba: With the way things are, I can finally picture myself graduating, Y/N!
**They're not wrong. The difficulty of the exam doesn't really change much, however...**
Y/N: Fine, let's check these answers, then.
I looked over their papers and was disappointed.
Y/N: Pretty much all of you failed... Do your brains wipe all your past knowledge whenever you start a new grade or something..?
Yotsuba: I see! That explains it!
Y/N: No, I wasn't being serious. You can't use that excuse.
Miku: And I thought I did well...
Nino: This may sound like an excuse, but.... I've been working so much that I haven't had time to study.
**That explains it. Juggling schoolwork and work-work is way too much for these girls.**
Y/N: I see... Now that you mention it, Itsuki's score is the only one that hasn't dropped much.
Itsuki: I'm sorry! I'm sorry!
**I have my own exams to prepare for, and now this happens? I bet Ichika's no better.**
They all looked defeated and I sighed.
Y/N: Stop moping around. Let's cover the parts you got wrong.
As we got back to work, their doorbell rang.
Y/N: Ichika?
Nino: No, she won't be back until later.
Itsuki got up to go check who it was.
Itsuki: Coming!
