Midterm Exams [12]

It had been 4 days since my strange encounter with Nino and regaining my memories. Thankfully, Nino stayed true to her word and hadn't told her sisters about what went down. I went on about life as regular without much of anything changing. The only difference now was that I was being much more attentive to the girls in order to figure out if the girl in my photo was one of them. I sat up and looked around. All the girls, aside from Nino, had fallen asleep in the living room.

**That's right. It's exam day today and we were studying hard last night.**

The girls had agreed to let me sleep over again the night before midterms so we could do some last-minute cramming.

**They're so cute when they're asleep and not making my life 5 times harder... They worked hard all week, go ahead and sleep now.**

I looked at the clock on the wall to see what time it even was. My blood went cold as I saw the time. It was 7:30. Itsuki sat up from the table and yawned.

Itsuki: You're up early, Y/N.

Y/N: No, I don't think so.

Itsuki: Huh?

Y/N: We need to be at school by 8:30, right, Itsuki?

Itsuki: That's right.

Y/N: And this clock here... It's correct, right, Itsuki..?

Itsuki: Yeah, it is... Oh... my god!

She realized what the crisis was.

Y/N: Everybody get up, wake up!

Itsuki: I'll go wake up Nino!

She ran upstairs to get Nino awake while I shook the others to get them up.

Y/N: Everybody up! We slept in too late!

They started to wake up but were moving sluggishly.

Y/N: Kick it into overdrive, girls! We only have one hour for everybody to get dressed and make it to school!

Miku: One hour?

Y/N: One hour!

They realized the predicament and got up. In some way and somehow, we all managed to get up and get out. We had to run to school because their normal driver wasn't available.

Y/N: Come on, guys! We're almost there!

Yotsuba: Hurry up everyone!

Nino stopped running to check herself out on her phone. Yotsuba ran ahead of the rest of us and kept going.

Nino: I don't want people to see me without makeup.

Y/N: No one cares! They've seen it already from your sisters!

I turned around and caught Miku helping an old lady cross the road.

Y/N: A good deed done at a bad time!

I looked over at Ichika who was leaning against a coffee shop falling asleep.

Y/N: Get up, Ichika!

Itsuki: I can't take it anymore.

Y/N: We're so close! Just a little further.

Itsuki: No, I'm spent.

Itsuki stopped.

Itsuki: I'm too hungry! I can't move!

**What's going on right now? This is not the time for this.**

Things were falling apart. It was one distraction after another. At this rate, we wouldn't even make it.
