{Friday Night}

I made my way to Raiha's school for the show that she told me about. It probably shouldn't have surprised me how many people were there, but it did.

**This is a middle school show? You'd never be able to tell with this turnout. I'd better get inside and find a seat before I end up having to stand.**

I made my way inside and looked around. Raiha said she invited dad, so he might've already been here. I looked around for a bit but didn't see him anywhere.

???: Y/N, is that you?

I couldn't tell where that voice was coming from with so many people around, but I saw a familiar face as I scanned my surroundings.

Y/N: Oh, it's you.

It was Kaori, Ryuji's girlfriend and the one who gave me the flowers when I got out of the hospital. I headed over to her.

Y/N: Kaori, right? Hey.

Kaori: Fancy seeing you here. I'm not surprised, though. A lot of people in our grade have families taking part in this play.

I gestured to the seat next to her.

Y/N: May I?

Kaori: Feel free.

I sat down next to her.

Y/N: Is it a big cast?

Kaori: Supposedly. Oh- sorry, I didn't even ask you. I just assumed you had a sibling in the play. Some people here just showed up because they saw the advertisements.

Y/N: It's fine, your assumption was correct. My little sister is in it, so I had to come support her.

Kaori: That's sweet of you. Supporting your younger siblings.

Y/N: And you?

Kaori: My dad is the playwright, but my younger brother also took a role in the show.

Y/N: Impressive.

Kaori: He took the role reluctantly, but he still did it. It's a small role, though, so luckily he doesn't have to do much.

Y/N: I'm not too sure what role my sister has, but she said it was an important one.

Kaori: I can't wait. I'm sure she'll do great.

Y/N: Yeah. The show's starting soon, isn't it?

Kaori: Mhm. We're you looking for somebody? I didn't mean to distract you.

Y/N: I was looking for my dad, but-

I looked around. There were so many people and the lights in the auditorium were beginning to dim.

Y/N: I don't think I'll be able to find him at this point. We're you saving this seat for somebody?

Kaori: No, I wasn't saving it for anybody. You can sit here if you want to.

Y/N: Thanks. I think I'll just stick around here and find him later.

After not long, the lights fully went out and focused on the stage. The play began and I watched it with Kaori.

Kaori: Is that your sister? The one playing Little Miss Piper?

Y/N: Yup. That's her.

Kaori: She's adorable.

Y/N: Where's your brother?

Kaori: He hasn't come out yet.

We kept watching. As the show went on, I became increasingly more impressed with the actors and actresses in the play.
