Lovers, aren't we?

Hopeless romantic might you be,

Harsh lover might I be.

We curved our necks together,

Our arms intertwined.

You had a warm smile,

I had a cold glare.

You unraveled the strings,

Bandaged the cuts.

I drew farther back,

And my shoulders rose,

Trying vainly to protect

Something that was never mine.

My wings broke,

My head lost it's sanity,

My soul it's morality.

But your hands never faltered.

They held me,

Caught my heart,

Drew me back,

And caught me in a lover's breath.

I roared in anguish,

When you were pointed

At knife's mercy;

Blood everywhere.

I led a storm,

Raining mercilessly.

Lightning shocking,

Thunder laughing.

I drew your scattered parts,

Glued you back together

Like you did me,

Like I'll always do you.

Your sweet smile,

Warmed my shielded heart;

My relentless love,

Powered you through everything.

Together we could rule the world,

Together we could make it tip,

Together we would be a cruel beauty,

Together we would be inevitably powerful.
