Silence

I don't want to talk as if I'm running out of time,

as if I need to force my voice out for you to just

listen.

I don't want to say everything on my mind in

only

one breath.

I don't want to have to make the choice of

whether or not to

speak

or not to speak.

To speak with a timer, the ticking of a bomb in your eyes

as you slowly stop listening to the emotions that

I pour out.

Or if I'll just stay silent,

or if I just won't risk the ticking of the

bomb.

I don't want to choose anymore.

I don't want to race against time,

and I don't want the only listener to be

time and the silence that rings around my

empty and unspoken words.

I don't want to choose anymore.

Don't make me choose anymore.

Please.
