When you look at yourself,
you writhe back in disgust.
When you peer down,
you close your eyes in horror.
You don't like what you see.
You don't like what other's see.
You don't like what you are.
You don't like what you have become.
Your hand slips from the ledge,
and the water reflection ripples.
You're glad of the distraction.
You're thankful of the small waves.
Until you look back.
And when you look back,
you see someone different,
someone beautiful.
With the flick of a finger,
the reflection flickers and changes.
With the gasp of astonishment,
the reflection flickers and stays.
