You cringe under their words;
their fingers are pointing.
You swear that you never did it,
yet their fingers never sway.
Even when you asked nicely,
they'll always turn the tables.
Guilt trip you with their words;
they're still pointing.
You're always the general direction,
their fingers pointing the way.
Situations they can't get out of,
you'll be the perfect cover-up.
The weight of so many problems,
you'll collapse under their fingers.
Make you believe everything is you;
entirely your fault until you know.
Pointing fingers you'll never rid,
because even if they tire,
there is no weight to bear them down.
They'll always be pointing at you.
Blood and wounds won't stop,
when you try to gasp for air,
fight back and look away from them,
but they'll still dig holes into your back.
Questions that fill you up,
you weren't ready to answer them.
Still pointing at you and your 'lies'.
Bury you with leaden fingers.
Don't lean away from their skin,
relishing in your own anger.
Pointing fingers,
they'll always be in your way.
