"You won't believe the stares I got from the store cashier," Capstan announced just as he walked into the studio apartment. They set down a plastic bag full of clothes. "Alright, take your pick."
You reached for the bag and began pulling out whatever Capstan had bought. There were five pairs of loose fitting jeans inside. The tops, though, were a mixture of different styles: a striped button-up dress shirt, a baby blue long-sleeved shirt with a purple flower on the front, a purple hoodie covered with black stars, a shirt with a picture of a T-Rex with wings that said "I'm a Tyranno-soar-us Rex," and another shirt with a taco that said "Taco-bout delicious." There were also a pair of blank baseball caps and a beanie that matched the blue shirt.
You were amused with Capstan's clothing choices.
Zane was quick to grab the striped button-up. Kai snatched the T-Rex shirt from your grasp, and Cole took the taco shirt.
"Aw man, seriously?" Jay glanced between the hoodie and the baby blue t-shirt. "Couldn't you get a better shirt?"
"They're just clothes. Deal with it," Capstan told Jay. "I grabbed whatever was on sale." Capstan glanced to the side, "'Least they're all long-sleeved... Can cover your suits better."
"Man..." Jay grabbed the purple hoodie, leaving you with the blue shirt.
You threw the shirt on over your ninja gi. Your gi was mostly hidden underneath the shirt. You put the jeans on over your gi, which was a fair bit of a struggle, but you managed.
The others did the same, hiding their gis under their new clothes. Kai grabbed a baseball cap to hide his hair, and you ended up taking the blue beanie that matched your shirt. Zane took the other hat.
"We ready to go?" Kai asked the team.
"What about Hourglass?" You asked. "He can't come with, can he?"
"Just let him stay here," Capstan shrugged. "Better than being seen with him and wasting your disguises."
Hourglass exhaled, but nodded in agreement.
You set a hand on Hourglass's nose. Your hand was tiny compared to Hourglass. "See you later?"
Hourglass stuck out his tongue.
You did the same before turning to your friends.
"We ready?" Kai asked.
"Yeah, let's go," You responded.
You and your friends left Capstan's apartment and headed down the stairs. You quickly walked through the first floor with the hope of bringing minimal attention. No one glanced your way.
Once outside, you looked around. This part of Ninjago City was mostly unfamiliar to you.
"Alright," Kai glanced around himself. "Where's Doomsday?"
"Ninjago City looks a lot bigger than usual..." Cole muttered.
"Did you forget that we're tiny?" Jay questioned.
You spotted a small store a ways away. You recognised it as the fabrics store you and Nya went to, the other day. Nya had led the way to Doomsday Comix, and you faintly remembered the way there. "I think Doomsday is this way," You pointed forward.
You led the way to your destination. The streets were a fair bit busy, with cars rolling down the roads and people walking all around. It was difficult to navigate the world with your tiny stature, as you frequently kept losing one or more of your friends in the crowd. You also had a hard time seeing when a large group of adults passed by.
Eventually, though, you spotted Doomsday Comix in the distance. You dashed ahead, leading your friends right to the building. You slowed down and headed into the store. The place was quite populated, today.
