Tiana and Nat had started some wedding planning stuff. The first thing they started with was wedding dress shopping. The most exciting part of the wedding planning. The first boutique they walked in was breathtaking. Tiana had never seen so many wedding dresses in her life. They all looked like they were straight from a fairytale.
A tall blonde woman walked up to them."Hello ladies, my name is Giselle. May I be of assistance?" Giselle asked politely. "Yes, please." "That's great. What kind of dress are you looking for?" Giselle asked, smiling. "I'm looking for a CInderella-esque dress. It doesn't have to be blue, just something with a similar style to it." Tiana said, dreamily. As long as she could remember, Tiana always dreamt of the perfect fairytale wedding. Cinderella has always been her inspiration. It was only fitting that she should find a Cinderella type of dress.
"We have a whole section dedicated to fairytale wedding gowns. If you follow me, I will take you to that specific section." Giselle smiled as she led them to the fairytale inspired wedding dresses.
Tiana was in awe. "Oh, my word. Where do we begin?" Tiana asked, her hand clasped over mouth. "Let's start here." Nat said, pulling a dress from one of the hangers. The dress was gorgeous. It was a long voluminous wedding dress, with a low waist, square neckline , straps and open back. " Go try this on." Nat said, handing over the dress. The dress was so big, Tiana could barely see where she was going. "Let me get that for you." Giselle offered, carrying the large dress for her. "Thanks." Tiana said, before taking the dress into the fitting room.
Tiana struggled a little while putting the dress on. It was so big, she almost fell over trying to get it on. Eventually she managed to get it on. She straightened it out a little before looking at herself in the mirror. The dress was lovely. It was a good length, it wasn't too revealing in the front. It was very comfortable. Although, she felt like something was missing. All of a sudden there was a rapt knock on the door, interrupting her thoughts. "Tiana, are you alright? You've been in there a while now. I would like to see the dress." Nat questioned. "I'm okay. I'll be right out." she said, before unlocking the door.
Nat gasped, when she saw Tiana. "Tiana, you look amazing! The dress looks incredible on you. What do you think about the dress?" She asked. "I like it a lot but I feel like there is something missing. I just don't know what it is yet." Tiana explained.. "Okay, that's fine. Let's find another dress."
Tiana tried on a few more dresses but they didn't quite meet her expectations. She knew she wanted a fairytale themed dress but somehow couldn't find the perfect one. After two hours of trying on dresses, Tiana was exhausted. "Let's call it quits for today." Tiana sighed, her energy depleted. "Okay, anything you want. It's okay that you didn't find your perfect dress in the first store or the first day. It's going to take a while before you find your perfect dress." Nat said, empathetically. "You're right. I was just hoping I could find my perfect dress today so there would be one less thing to worry about." Tiana said. "Also, I just miss Steve. I wish he was here." Tiana admitted. "You know the groom is not supposed to see their bride in their wedding dress before the wedding, right?" Nat asked, raising her eyebrow. "I know that but it would be nice for him just to be here." Tiana sighed.
"The thing is, I've been feeling a little distant from him lately." Tiana said. "What do you mean? You spend time with each other all the time." Nat asked, confused. "I feel like he's been emotionally distant. I feel like he's not telling me something." Tiana admitted. Nat knew what Steve wasn't telling her. Nat felt guilty that she couldn't tell Tiana the reason why Steve was keeping something from her. "Maybe he is just stressed with work, that's all. Maybe it's just taking a toll on him." Nat said, which wasn't exactly a lie. Steve really was stressed about the whole situation.
"Maybe you're right. I just couldn't help but think he was not telling me something. I'm just a bit paranoid, given how the last few weeks have been. " Tiana sighed, collapsing onto the couch. "You don't need to worry about anything. Whatever it is, it will be okay. If Steve was keeping something from you, I'm sure he would have a good reason for doing so." Nat said, as she held out her hand for Tiana. "That's true," Tiana said, reaching for her and standing up. "Now, let's get out of here." Nat smiled.
