It was time to head back home. Tiana and Steve enjoyed their time together for their little catch-up session. It was sorely needed. They both didn't want to leave their newfound haven. All good things must come to an end. Once they got in the car, Tiana's demeanour had changed, which caught Steve's attention.
"Babe, are you okay?" Steve asked as he watched Tiana, looking utterly miserable. "No. I don't want our little vacation to end. I want to spend more days doing nothing with you. I want to lie in bed with you and talk about our baby. I don't want to go back to work tomorrow. " She moped. "Aww, babe. You're so adorable. It's been a while since you've been this clingy. I love it." Steve grinned as he leaned over and grabbed her hand. "I'm not adorable." She protested. "You certainly are, my love." He countered, eyes sparkling.
Whenever Steve called her 'my love,' Tiana always melted into a puddle. The way he said it made her weak in the knees. She feels so loved when he says that sweet term of endearment. "Okay, if you say so." She giggled as her cheeks turned red. He smiled at her warmly. Steve knew that was her weakness, which is why he says it so often.
"Do you think it's too early to start thinking about baby names?" Tiana asked curiously. I don't think so. Sounds like you have a few names in mind, don't you?" He smirked. "I may have a few..." She said, shyly. "What names do you have in mind?" He asked curiously. " Hmm. Suppose it's a girl, maybe Jasmine. If it's a boy, then maybe Jack." She grinned, waiting for Steve's reaction. "Those are good names. It seems you're leaning into the 'J' names, huh?" He chuckled. "I am. I've always liked 'J' names." She admitted. "Good, I like them too." Steve smiled happily.
"Really? That's great. I mean, we can still think of other names. Do you have any names in mind?" She asked. "Let me think. I've always liked the name 'James' for a boy, and a name for a girl would be 'Sierra.' What do you think?" He said thoughtfully. She smiled at him. "They're such beautiful names, too!" She smiled, getting teary. "It's going to be difficult to choose their name." Tiana sighed. "I think when we meet them, we will know what their name will be," Steve reassured her. "I think you're right." She smiled, squeezing his hand gently.
"I'm so excited now. I can't wait to be a mom." She grinned. "You already are." Steve smiled. "Is it not too early to say that. I mean, we just found that I am pregnant." She said, feeling awkward.  "That's true. Let's wait for at least four months." Steve said. "Good idea." She agreed. "Oh, by the way. Nat said we should come to her place. She said she and Bucky are preparing a celebratory dinner for us.  I told her we were supposed to host, but she refused. She thought we shouldn't stress about dinner. " Tiana said, as she checked her messages. "Typical Nat," Steve said, shaking his head in disbelief.
The drive was calm and peaceful. "Steve, look out! " Tiana called out, as an oncoming car came hurdling towards them. The car was swerving on and off the road. By the looks of it, it was a drunk driver. Steve was on high alert as he noticed the car early on. He tried his best to avoid a head-on collision but wasn't fast enough. He ended up crashing into the car. The impact caused Steve and Tiana to propel forward, resulting in the rupture of the airbags.
"Tiana, are you okay?" He asked, grabbing her hand. Unfortunately, she was unconscious. "Oh, my god, Tiana!" Steve panicked as he saw her unconscious body. He tried shaking her, but it didn't work. He needed to get her to a hospital, fast.  Luckily, he could hear sirens in the distance. Someone must've called 911. Thank goodness,  Steve thought to himself.
It wasn't long before the paramedics arrived. They came and helped Steve and Tiana. Luckily, Steve and Tiana were unharmed, but Tiana was still unconscious, so they still took her to the hospital, with Steve staying by her side. Steve was hoping she would be alright. He felt like it was his fault for not being able to dodge that stupid, drunken person. "What happened to the drunk driver?"  Steve asked angrily, wanting to know what his condition was like. The paramedics looked at each other nervously. Steve was getting impatient. "Well, what happened?" He roared. "Well, that driver appeared to be unharmed." 'One of the paramedics stated nervously."Of course, he is perfectly okay." Steve muttered in anger.
