When Taylor woke up, she didn't know where she was at first. Gradually she recognized her living room, and when she finally woke up she realized that she was embraced by a man's strong arms.
Taylor felt warm breath on the back of her neck and turned around to see Joe. She hadn't woken up with anyone like that in a long time. All her lovers often didn't sleep over, or left in the early hours of the morning when she was asleep. Joe, on the other hand, sniffed sweetly against her neck.
Taylor smiled and ran her fingers over his face. She had such a joyful, tender feeling somewhere inside. She couldn't remember the last time she'd felt this good.
Taylor lifted his hand from her body and stood up. Joe's hand returned to her waist and his sleepy morning voice asked:
"Where are you going?"
Taylor lay down beside him and kissed him softly on the lips.
"I just wanted to get up and make some coffee, you don't have to wake up yet"
"Nah, it's either the two of us lying here or both of us getting up and having coffee. What a sly fox, deciding to have coffee without me"
Joe opened his eyes and kissed Taylor on the nose. Taylor covered her eyes, trying to remember and capture in her memory this moment of such simple and coveted happiness.
"Okay, then get up" the woman said as she climbed out of bed.
Joe groaned grudgingly and reluctantly got out of bed, too. Taylor went into her bedroom and grabbed her favorite thin robe that she loved to wear. She threw it on and walked barefoot across the floor to the kitchen.
Joe had already put on the jeans he'd worn yesterday, and was sitting at the table banging his fork against the glass
"Would you like a salad? I had the nerve to take it without your permission, I'm sorry, just hungry" the man apologized
If someone else, in Taylor's apartment, had dared to take anything without her permission, it would have ended in a huge scandal. With any other person, not Joe.
"Yeah, I hope it didn't go bad because it wasn't in the fridge"
Taylor walked over to the table and he held out his fork to her. She did ate some of the salad and then went to the coffee machine to make coffee.
"What kind of coffee do you want?" Blondie asked Joe.
"I'm not picky. Same as you"
She waited until the machine had made two coffees and put two beautiful white cups in front of them. They sat next to each other and drank their coffee in silence.
Joe finished first and he asked:
"Can I take a shower at your place if that's okay with you? I don't like being smelly"
Taylor nodded, "There are two white towels there, they're clean and nobody uses them, you can have them"she said, checking her e-mail.
Taylor finished her coffee as she heard the sound of the water stop. A few minutes later Joe came out to her fully clothed, unfortunately for the woman.
"When I walked in I realized there was something missing"
"And what's that?" Taylor asked playfully.
"Our intertwined bodies" he smiled dirty.
"Oh my God, did you realize how awful that was just now?"
"No, I didn't"
"Really, I thought that's what little boys do for fun, not grown men." Taylor rolled her eyes.
