New people

Taylor got up early in the morning. Not by choice, of course. She would have slept more, but at eight o'clock in the morning, Jenny showed up and started waking her up.

"Mom, stop sleeping. Come on, wake up"

"it's Saturday, let me sleep in peace" said Taylor, putting a pillow over her head.

"Why are you being such a baby? Mom, come on, get up. Dad's coming today and he's going to introduce us to his fiancée. You know it's important"

"Jenny, they're coming at 3:00 in the afternoon. That's not soon. If you don't want to sleep, that's fine, just let me sleep"

Jenny pulled the blanket off her and Taylor sat unhappily on the bed.

She expected Jenny to be in the pajamas she slept in but she was already dressed in her home clothes. It was a long t-shirt and shorts because of the summer, but the t-shirt was so long that the shorts were barely visible.

Taylor still remembered that Tom had brought her in three years ago, but had gotten a few sizes wrong. But Jenny still loved that shirt with all her heart.

"Okay, I'm up, I'm up"

Taylor got up and walked to the kitchen to have a drink of strawberry yogurt as breakfast. Jenny watched her drink as she voiced her schedule for the day:

"we don't need cleaning since we cleaned yesterday, and the cook is coming at twelve o'clock in the afternoon"

"So the question is still the same - why did you wake me up"

"I'm worried. She's his fiancée, that means they're getting married soon. This is so weird"

"What's so weird about it? Isn't that the good thing?" Taylor asked.

Jenny looked up at her and said:

"I'm glad, but just the thought of him having a new girlfriend... What if they have a baby?"

"then you'll have a little brother or sister" said Taylor calmly

"It's probably all cool, but still...I don't feel comfortable" Jenny put her arms around her shoulders.

Taylor walked over to her and hugged her

"Honey,he'll still be your dad. It won't change anything in your relationship. Tom will still take care of you and he won't forget about you"

"That just sounds easy to say, and then there's that girl. Who is she anyway?"

"I don't know" Taylor shrugged "I've never met her"

"Some unknown woman comes in here and..."

"Jenny, honey, you don't even know her. I know it's hard, but give her a chance"

"She's already pissing me off, and she's just spun my dad off"

Taylor smiled, Jenny loved Tom very much and was jealous of any woman around him

"Your dad wasn't the kind of guy you can easily wrap your head around. They love each other and they are happy"

Jenny shook her head and got up from the chair she was sitting in.

"No, Mom, you're oversimplifying things. I know you probably don't care because you don't love him anymore, but I do care because he's my dad"

Jenny went out to her room and Taylor shook her head and went to the bathroom.

She was just feeling interested in Tom's fiancée. Although she had her suspicions that the other woman might not like Taylor.

But she would be friendly with her, because Tom deserves better. He always wanted a big and strong family, but with Taylor, it didn't work out for him. So if he found the girl of his dreams, that's a good thing.
