Chapter 35: Surprise

I sent Faith a text before I had to go to work.

Handa na ako. I'll see you when I get back.

Ilang linggo kong iniisip ng mabuti ito. Precisely three weeks after I learned the truth behind my parents death, I realized I needed to do something. I need to make those people behind bars be responsible for my loss. Ngunit sa ngayon ay alam kong matatalo ako sa tanging ebidensya na hawak ko.

Knowing how Mom and Dad failed to put those corrupt people behind bars, I know this is not easy. I need solid proof. I need more evidence. I need to know what evidence Dad kept. I need to find them. Ngumiti ako at tumango saka na tumingin sa tinutukoy niyang babae, Asian din. Mukhang Korean siya nandahil sa hugis at kutis niya na isang kaibahan ng mga babaeng koreana.

"Nice to meet you," bati ko at naglahad ng kamay.

She smiled and shook my hand. "Hello, Miss. It is a pleasure to be of assistance by the famous Great Collection Designer. And the only Asian who made it to Great Magazine."

I chuckled a bit and smiled. "Thank you. That's lovely,"

Shortly after the meeting with the company COO, I went to finish some minor tasks on my floor. To which I also received news that I will be given my own office, an area to all my stuff and all of that. Tinanggap ko naman iyon dahil malaking oportunidad din iyon para gawin ang trabaho ko na walang kakaibang ingay o ano pero hindi ko maiwasan na nanghihinayang sa dating floor ko kung saan kasama ko silang lahat.

Kaya nakapagdesisyon ako na sa pagbalik ko doon lang ako lumipat. Tutungo ako ng United Kingdom bukas para sa isang proyekto. Months of trainings and works has finally paid off. Now, I have this big project. It requires my personal presence to make the measurements and to talk to the Royalties about their upcoming Royal Ball. Syempre mga Royalty ang kailangan kong pagsilbihan kaya kailangan personal akong naroon para kausapin sila.

"Hello, baby. It's good to finally hear your voice again," medyo paos niyang bungad.

I pouted a bit. "You just got off from your meetings?"

"Yeah. I couldn't call you last morning because my cousins were here. I couldn't shake them off. But have you seen my message?"

"Yup! I understand naman, e. I was busy din kanina kasi nga bukas na ang alis ko."
