"So, tell me more for god's sake," Dylan yells at me, poking her fork in my face as she demanded me to tell her more. I felt the urge to laugh bubbling in my stomach, the way she was hungry for more details was breathtaking.

"Only if you tell me more about your client, or should I say Grayson," I tell her, shooting her a flirty wink as an amused smile tucked the corners of my lips. Oh, I was only tormenting her with the fact that there was a connection between her and her client. She wouldn't admit it, but it was there.

"No, there's nothing to tell about my client. He's my client and I'm supposed to get him out of jail. That's what lawyers are for, remember?" She tells me as she points her finger in my face, and I only smirked in response. There would be a moment where the attraction and passion between them two would leap, causing the start of a journey they couldn't back away from.

"If that's what you're saying, I would have to take your word for it, but if I were you, I wouldn't be so sure that nothing is ever going to happen," I tell her, hoping that their journey wouldn't be a heart wrenching one, but one that only brought happiness and sunshine. She was my best friend, and I couldn't stand to see her hurt.

"I'm sure that nothing is going to happen. It isn't possible, Amelia. Now, tell me about you and your loverboy." She demands me, and I could only smile as I think about the man I loved so dearly.

"I suppose, we're together now, but I'm not sure. Neither of us has actually confirmed that we're dating or exclusive or anything in that matter. I'm not sure if I should say something about it, I don't want to ruin everything we're sharing." I explain to her as she smiles widely.

"For the second time in my life, my heart is full and leaping with love and happiness. Caine makes me feel so many happy things, I can only hope they never go away again. Now that he's back in my life, I'm not sure that I will be able to lose him again. I don't think I can experience that type of heartbreak again now that my heart finally feels like it's beating again." I tell her, my voice sounding desperate and unsure.

"Amelia White, I am completely certain that Caine loves with everything he has. I have only seen and spoken to him a couple of times, but he has already lost you once, he won't ever put himself in a position to lose you again. I can see all of his love for you in his eyes whenever he looks at you. His whole gaze softens whenever he glances at you, and I tell you that he never will love anyone else the way he loves you. You might not notice it at all, but from where I'm standing - on the sideline - I notice how utterly and passionately in love he is with you. I don't think  that feeling that strong can ever die." She tells me, her voice sounding sincere and sweet.

I hug her, whispering a soft thank you into her ear as I close my eyes. I was blessed with such a loving and great best friend, someone who was there for me whenever I needed someone and who made all of my worries disappear. She was such a great, warm and loving person, and I could only wish that some day someone else would notice it too.

"Should we still go out tonight? I'm feeling like having some cocktails, but we can also go tomorrow if you want to." Dylan asks me, looking at the time on her golden watch. It's still early in the evening, and we've just finished eating and catching up on a lot of things. I swear, we both had so many stories we needed to share, it was crazy.

I always thought that living with roommates would mean you'd share everything with each other immediately, but that's not true. Dylan and I have both been extremely busy, and it feels like the last time I actually talked to her was more than a week and a half ago. There are days when I speak to her for hours, but we also have those kinds of days where we live past each other, both busy with our own things and lives.

"I think we should go out. I think we deserve to have a little night out, don't you think. Come on, we should get dressed to be ready for some fun." I tell her, grabbing her wrists and pulling her up from the couch. A bright smile appears on her face as she leaves the blankets messily behind on the couch and walks over to her room to look for an outfit.
