I sigh before I raise my hand to knock on what I think is the right door. The little board with the room number on it indicates that this is room 537. I'm sure this must be the room where Caine is staying right now until he can take a flight back to New York.

"Yeah, hold on." I can hear a male voice says from behind the door as I wait patiently until someone opens the door. I take a quick look at my outfit and realize I'm still wearing my working clothes from this morning, which is my nursing suit. I couldn't have known that I would hang out with someone tonight, but I still wish that I would have brought a change of clothes with me.

"You came." Caine's breathless voice says, making me look up at him. His hair is messy and soft-looking as always, making me want to run my hands through the strands. His eyes lighten as he looks at me, and a little smirk appears on his face.

"Well, you didn't give me much of a choice by sending your driver to get me," I state, making him chuckle as he shakes his head. I can't help but smile at the sight of him chuckling, and I can feel my cheeks heat up when he notices my smile.

"What can I say? I wanted to spend some time with you." He says, shrugging his shoulders as he holds the door open for me to enter the room. It's a luxurious hotel room and a lot bigger than I had anticipated it to be.

"I did agree to spend some time with you for two weeks, right? I agreed to give you two weeks to explain yourself. I don't usually break my promises." I shrug my shoulders as I let my eyes roam over the big room.

There's an enormous bed on the left side of the room, which has place for three people to sleep in. It has a light wooden frame that goes perfectly with the dark blue paint on the walls. The covers are messy and undone and bundles of papers are spread across the mattress.

"Sorry, I didn't have time to clean up the room a little. I have been catching up with work these past few days, and it almost has me working non-stop." He explains from behind me, making me nod slowly.

On the other side of the room is a huge tv hanging on the wall with a little desk beneath it. Next to the little desk are two nice comfortable-looking chairs with a little light wooden table between them.

"Don't worry, you haven't seen the apartment I share with Dylan yet. It's a horrible mess, and we only clean up when we finally decide we need to clean the apartment." I say, taking a look in another room, which is a little office. Caine grins, grabbing some of the papers and putting them on the nightstand.

"How's your leg, by the way?" I ask, shifting my attention towards him. He takes place in one of the comfy chairs as a painful expression crosses his face, making me shoot him a confused and warning glare.

"Don't worry, I hit my leg. I just need to sit down. I can only stand or walk for a short amount of time, which is normal I suppose. It was worse when I left the hospital, and I suppose it's getting better. I have been working in my bed because I think holding my leg still is the best way for it to heal." He says.

"You listened to my advice. Finally, put your stubbornness aside, didn't you?" I chuckle, making him shoot me a challenging glare. I raise my eyebrows and shoot him a playful smile.

"What can I say? I'm not the expert in the room when it comes to nursing someone. I majored in business, remember?" He says, making me smile softly as I take place beside him.

"Anyway, I thought you might want to keep this private instead of the media so I asked Michael to bring you in from the back. I didn't want to take any chances on some paparazzi being at the front. I know how much you value your privacy, and I respect that." He explains.

"I thought we could have dinner together? I can order room service if you want?" He says, making me nod immediately as I realize I'm starved.

"Yeah, I'm starved. Do you think they have something Italian? I'm craving some pasta bolognese or carbonara, you know. Or maybe another sort of pasta? I heard there's another one with a delicious cheese sauce, but I'm not sure if they'll have it on the menu." I ask, unable to hide how starved I am. Caine chuckles at the sight and hands me the menu.
