I sigh deeply as I look through more documents and business propositions, knowing I shouldn't be doing this so late at night, but I couldn't care less. There are a lot of meetings on the planning for tomorrow, we're negotiating these business propositions with other companies or people to try and get a deal out of it. A lot of deals remain pending or unsigned, and I need to finish them before I can fly back to Britain carefree of work.

Even if I want to finish all of these negotiations and documents as quickly as possible, I also need to do it thoroughly to make sure my company profits from it in the way I had envisioned. As much as I want to be around the person I love the most in this entire world, I first need to finish this work thoroughly here. I'm not sure how long it's going to take, but I'm going back to her once I actually think everything is running smoothly around here.

It doesn't help that she's constantly on my mind, wandering around in my head every minute when I'm awake. The way her eyes twinkle whenever she smiles, or the way she looks at me with an annoyed yet amused expression when I make some kind of joke she thinks is stupid. The way she looks at me with those beautiful grey eyes whenever she talks to me, or the way she responds to my touch like it's a drug she's addicted to. The way she secretly looks at me when she thinks I don't notice it, or the way she worries about small cuts and bruises I have and demands to clean them. It's all adorable. She's fucking adorable.

Although, she hasn't cleaned any of my cuts or inspected my bruises lately. Mostly, because I'm not a boxer anymore. I don't continuously fight and get wounds all over my body she insists on cleaning. Sometimes I even want to hurt myself, get myself covered in cuts and bruises. Only to see her have that adorable worried look crossing her face and the little nurse in her rise as she insists to check my cuts and bruises. I was not surprised to see she had become a nurse after all.

I take another look at the documents, reading through the important paragraphs to see if they're written correctly and stating the requirements I had insisted on. It was a complex deal, they almost backed out of it before I made some adjustments to the deal to make sure they couldn't deny that it would be great for their company. Eventually, they came around and we talked for almost three hours, discussing the details before the papers were made up.

A knock on the door startles me, and I look up from the document for a slight second before focusing on the document again. I still want to finish a lot of documents tonight, and I need to maintain my focus if I want to get through everything.

"Come in," I say loudly, not looking up when I hear the door open and close. I read through the final paragraph before grabbing a pen and signing the document. I put it aside, on the pile of signed documents before looking up to see my secretary, David, standing in the doorway with a brown bag.

"Sir, I'm sorry to bother you, but I have your dinner from the Japanese takeaway down the street. Like you asked half an hour ago." David says, holding up the bag in the air before walking over to my desk. He puts the bag on my desk, and I take it from him, looking inside to see what he got me. I didn't exactly specify what dishes I would like aside from chicken teriyaki.

"Thank you, David. You can get these files over to the other partners of the deal. I have read through them and signed them." I tell him, giving him the pile of signed documents. Dylan nods slowly, looking down at the signed documents.

"Then you can go home, David," I tell him, taking one of the white boxes and some chopsticks out of the brown bag. I open the box, revealing chicken teriyaki and I can't help but smile softly. David closes the door behind him, but I don't look up. I grab another bundle of documents to read through as I take a bite of the chicken teriyaki.
