"Let me get your discharge papers, Bella. Then you'll be good to go home to your family. The surgery was a great success. Do you have someone to give you a ride home? It is suggested not to walk too much for now. " I say, smiling at a girl who's a couple of years younger than me.

"Yeah, my best friend is picking me up. We're sharing an apartment. My mom is also coming to town to help us out, and my brother is also helping us." She smiles.

"Alright, that's good to hear. Now, you can contact us whenever you want or whenever you have any questions. Here's a list with everything you can't do for a couple of weeks, and I'll go get your discharge papers if you don't have any further questions" I say before I excuse myself to get her discharge papers.

She came in this morning for surgery on her peritoneum because her peritoneum was ruptured, and it was hurting her. The surgery disallows her to do a lot of things because the stitches could tear. She won't be able to do sports or lift something for a couple of weeks. She also has to take a lot of rest the first couple of days.

I come back with the discharge papers and hand them to Bella. I lend her one of my pens so she can fill in the forms. She writes all of the information down before she hands the forms back to me.

"Alright, once your friend arrives, you're good to go. I hope I don't have to see you again, Bella. Good luck with that one boy. I'm sure that if he liked you, and I'm sure he does, he will make the first move. He just needs some encouragement." I tell her, making her shoot me a wide smile.

A brown-haired girl enters the room with a wheelchair, a small smirk evident on her face as she greets her friend. They hug each other while they laugh. I help Belle to get in her wheelchair, and she thanks me again for helping her. I give her a sweet smile before I excuse myself and get out of the room, almost bumping into Aspen.

"Dear God, Dr. Lee is searching for you. She wants to see you in her office. She said to me it was urgent." Aspen tells me, making me frown deeply.

I have no clue why she would want to meet me in her office. Normally, she always speaks to me in the hallway when she wants to tell me something. I have only been in her office a few times.

Her office is on the top floor of the hospital, which is the fourth floor. Her office is simply decorated with a couple of personal touches. She has a photo of her and her daughter on her desk, and it's the kind of photo I hope to make with my own daughter or son someday.

I have always dreamed of having my own children. The thought of having miniatures of myself running around the earth is making me happy and excited. I would love to see mini replicas of me running around the world, giggling because of something in their fantasy world. It's my biggest dream to have children of my own.

I wave Aspen goodbye before I make my way towards the elevator. I press the right button and wait for the elevator to reach the right floor. Somehow, I feel anxious and uncomfortable going to the office of my boss, and I have no clue why.

I don't especially like my boss, but I don't detest her either. We don't get along very well, but she's an excellent doctor. She's righteous, and she wouldn't do something without having a good reason for it.

I give a short knock on the white door of her office and wait for her to tell me to come in. I hear her talking to someone else behind the door, and I open the door slowly after a couple of seconds. I carefully walk into the room, not wanting to disturb her conversation with the mysterious person.

"Ah, Amelia. There you are. I want to discuss something with you and Mr. Williams. Please take a seat. I'm going to get another cup of coffee before our conversation, so if you'll excuse me." Dr. Lee says before leaving the room, letting me alone in the room with none other than Caine fucking Williams.
