Y/N POV

After selling I was exhausted.

Fuck the town hall.

I thought to myself. I raced to the bathroom and bathed faster than I ever have in my entire life. I put on the heels from last time which I may or may not have never returned to Jenaveve. I saw the dress laying on my bunk. How did he know that one is mine? I slipped into the dress but I couldn't bring the zipper all the way. I called downstairs for Race and he comes up.

"Woah you'se lookin' nice" He complimented.

"Why thank you'se but can ya zip me up?" I asked.

"Oh right sure" Then his cold hands went up my body along with the zipper.

"Thanks, I'll be downstairs in a minute but I gotta do hair and makeup" I sighed exasperatedly.

"Good luck but you look gorgeous."

I did the bare minimum. I'm not sure what it was but I wasn't super excited to see Morris. I liked last night. Well, at least I think I did. But now I feel smothered by him. I know it all comes from a good place but my feelings about last night differed. I mean it was fun. But I feel weird now like maybe he was only using me? No, I know that can't be true but I still worry. Tonight was supposed to be fun. So I will enjoy my time with Morris and then come home. And tomorrow's Sunday so I won't have to see him. I'll be fine.

I repeated it like a mantra, ill be fine.

I walked downstairs and was greeted by pretty standard catcalls. I rolled my eyes at their failed attempts of whatever it was they were going for.

"Hi" I puffed.

"Where you'se goin' dressed like that?" Albert asked.

"I'm Morris' date for the Pulitzer town hall meeting," I responded

"Woahhh"

"REALLY"

"Wowie"

I plopped down next to Jojo on the couch and rested my head on his shoulder. We had a small conversation on how terrible the headline was until we were met with a knock on the door. Morris pushed it open ever so slightly and smiled at me. I smiled back.

He made his way inside as I got up. He looked me up and down, that same smirk he had last night. My stomach did flips. "Hot damn" he breathed down my neck. "You look gorgeous," he told me. "I could tell you the same thing" I laughed. I mean it was true. He was dressed in a dark blue suit and his hair was combed back perfectly.

"Shall we'se go?" He asked in a mock British accent.

"We shall" I laughed.

"BYE BOYS" I yelled out.

"Betta have her home by 11:00" Jack told Morris.

We walked down the steps and Morris twirled me.

"Ready for tonight?" He asked.

I'm not sure why I was worried about Morris earlier but I feel at peace now, I'm enjoying this, enjoying him.

"Yeah, you ready to see..." I trailed off at the end because I think we both knew I meant Gregory.

"Not at all, but I have you so it can't be all bad" he smiled.

We approached Oscar and Jenaveve where they once again waited impatiently.

"This feel lke deja vu to you?" I whispered to Morris as we sat in the carriage.

He stifled a laugh. "It sure does" then he grabbed my hand. The ride was silent as we all anxiously waited for the Pulitzer Town Hall. Oscar and Jenaveve exited first, "Ready?" Morris, I asked, "Nope, you?"

 "Nope"

We entered the gigantic building. And it was spectacular. That was sort of to be expected but still, it was amazing. We socialised with other people around us. We laughed, we danced, then he approached.

Damnit

MORRIS POV

Damnit

And after we were having so much fun too.

"Morris" Gregory smirked.

"Hello doll" He smirked towards Y/N.

Fat chance. I pushed her behind me while I kept a strong grip on her hand. I saw the punch I landed on him had done some damage. I smiled internally at that.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"How about we continue this outside?" He said.

Oscar approached us. He pushed Jenaveve behind him and inserted himself into the conversation.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"Outside. Now" He seethed.

"No way," Oscar said. Just then about half a dozen men gigantic men approached us.

"Don't make me ask again" He said. I shot Oscar a worried look. I turned to Y/N.

"Stay here, don't go anywhere," I spoke hushed and quickly.

"No, no bring the ladies with ya" he smirked.

I stood there defeated.

"I-, no" I defended. "Well, believe this or not, I wasn't really asking." Just then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see Oscar, Y/N, and Jenaveve all with a different man based on them. We shuffled out of the building, with Gregory leading us. As he turned around he soaked me in the jaw, then the cheek.

"MORRIS" Y/N screeched before a hand was placed over her mouth, muffling her shouts of dismay.

"First off Morris, that was part one of payback," Gregory said as I spit out blood.

"What?"

"Get them in the carriage" Then the men grabbed Y/N and me. Oscar and Jenaveve were free and he punched the man in front of him. Kicked the man on Jenaveve to the ground, but the other men were too strong. Especially, for just Oscar to take them on.

Y/N and I were being dragged to the carriage as we struggled. The men began to soak him, as Jenaveve started trying to stop them, they just ended up hitting her too.

"OSCAR NO, OSCAR"

"STOP IT"

"NO, STOP"

"JENAVEVE RUN, NOW"

She got up from her place on the ground and started sprinting to sprint inside but unfortunately, these men were a step ahead of us as The biggest one backhanded her across the face.

"JENNA NO" Oscar screams as the man terrors over her threatening another blow.

Oscar got another punch for that and he groaned in agony.

"STOP"

"NO"

"GET OFF"

"HELP"

"SOMEONE"

"ANYONE"

The four of us shouted incoherent things as we were being dragged off to the carriage as Jenaveve and Oscar continued to get soaked. A man twice as large as me punched Y/N across the face.

"NO" I shouted then he put a cloth over her face until she eventually passed out. They then tossed her in the carriage then someone hit me over the head and there was black as I still heard Oscar and Jenna screaming.
