Chapter 20

ANOTHER SHORT ONE IM SORRY 

RACE POV 

Albert, Elmer, and Romeo helped bring Morris inside. I just stood there. I watched. I didn't move, didn't do anything to help just sort of stared.

I watched Y/N freak out over Morris and realized...

I did this to her.

I have to fix this.

I dropped the bat and watched Albert bring Y/N upstairs. I realized if I walked through the front doors I'd probably be thrown out. So in hopes of that not happening I oped for the fire escape. I quickly and quietly made my way up the ladder. There she was, crying, pacing, and slightly shaking. My stomach dropped.

I did this to her.

I tapped the window to get her attention and she stopped in her tracks, staring at me. I slowly opened the window while Y/N stood there, crying. I ran over to her and engulfed her in a hug.

To my surprise, she hugged back.

We stood there,

Hugging

"I missed you" she mumbled into my shoulder.

"I missed you too Sweet," I say as I kiss the top of her head.

"Can we finally be done with this, friends again?" she looked up with tears in her eyes as she asked.

"God, absolutely"

We sat on a nearby bunk for a few minutes before Albert came up to retrieve Y/N. She ran down the stairs while I leaned back a bit and watched. She immediately hugged Morris. "Is he going to be okay?" she asked Specs.

"Yes he is but he has to rest, here," he spoke.

"HERE?!" Jack objected.

"Unless you want to carry him to his apartment." Specs said with an annoyed tone.

Y/ N grabbed a washcloth and slowly wipes away any remaining blood on him.

"You're back" Morris smiled. She smiled back "Of course I am, I wasn't going to leave you alone" she laughed.

I watched their interaction a bit more until Jack came up and clapped me on the back.

"Hey, you okay here Racer?" he asked.

I responded truthfully "Yeah I am" I smiled at him.

"Good, I'm glad" he smiled back and walked away.

I was in a slight trance and Y/N came up to break it.

"You know I'm making you two apologize to each other, right?" she narrowed her eyes at me.

I sighed, I figured that. We both shot Jack a look and he got the enter room to clear out to start getting ready for bed. Y/N sat down next to Morris on the couch as I sat on the table next to it.

I breathed in,

"Listen, Morris, I'se don't really know what happened, but it was wrong. I'm sorry for any pain I caused you and I really hope we can at least be friendly to each other?" I sort of asked at the end.

"Hey man, I'se sorry too. I'd like to be friends if you want that?' he asked.

"Yeah" I smiled at him. Then I smiled at Y/N
