Hope's POV

I woke up to my phone alarm at 4:30am and grabbed it off the coffee table, shutting it off quickly so Luna wouldn't wake up. Large round yellow eyes loomed at me from the darkness and I just managed to keep from shouting out, but it was a close one. I realized that Luna's black cat, Boo, was laying beside us on the top of the couch, staring at me and purring. Holding my mouth with one hand and still breathing a little hard from being startled, I looked down at Luna's head on my chest to make sure I hadn't woken her, but she was still sleeping peacefully.

I watched her for a second before kissing her beautiful silvery tresses lightly as I gently extricated myself from beneath her. I was sure this would wake her up, but all she did was sigh as she readjusted on the couch. My heart fluttered watching her laying there, not a stitch of clothing on her underneath the blanket. She was absolutely stunning and it was so hard not to crawl back under the covers with her and press my body against hers again, just enjoying the feeling of her bare skin against mine.

She must be very tired after last night, I thought to myself, feeling a little smug. Not that I could blame her. I didn't usually have a hard time getting up, but I felt particularly sleepy this morning and my muscles felt so heavy from overuse. I don't think I'd ever come so many times in one night before. But something about her made me want her constantly.

I tiptoed around and found my discarded clothes, pulling on my boxer briefs, then shoving my legs through my sweats and pulling on my t-shirt.

I grabbed my bag and took one last look at her. Leaning in, I brushed my lips against her forehead.

"Jagi, I'm leaving," I whispered.

She stirred a little, letting out a cute little sigh, but her eyes didn't open. I smiled at this but didn't try again. She looked so peaceful, I just couldn't bring myself to wake her up. She needed her rest. I stood there waffling about what I should do since she asked me to say bye, but then I had an idea. I went into her bathroom and gently closed the door. Turning on the light, I checked the mirror. Luckily my hair wasn't too bad, so I recorded a little video of me kissing the camera.

I pulled up my texts and started typing, then attached the video I made, smiling to myself.

good morning, jagi 😘 I did try to wake you, but you were very tired from last night 😏 leaving you was no easy task, trust me. hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy your time out today. get some rest, pretty baby.

I shoved my hat and sunglasses on and softly padded to the door, locking the doorknob lock on the way out and closing it softly behind me. I pulled out my phone as I left the building, looking swiftly through the window at the outer door to make sure there was no one around in the parking lot. I didn't see anyone, so I scurried to my car and got in.

Taking my phone off Do Not Disturb, I drew in a deep breath, mentally preparing for the texts to begin filling up my screen. I breathed a sigh of relief when the new notifications stopped at three, and none of them were Namjoon. Feeling lighter already, I swiped the first one.
